Mahakavi Ramdhari Singh known by his pen name Dinkar, was an Indian Hindi and Maithili language poet, essayist, freedom fighter, patriot and academic. One of my favourite poems by my favourite poetess Erin Hanson. It's a pretty heavy poem. I found it difficult to recite it first couple of times. Her power of expression is very strong.

I wrote and recorded this poem while serving on a merchant ship in 2019. It's a poem I wrote remembering my mother on her birthday. Every year, a new version of the same poem comes into being.
