Jereny grew up in poverty, and didn't have the resources or opportunities to explore athletics. She found running as an adult and ran her first marathon in 5 hours and 25 minutes.  Early into her running journey, she found the Sports Bra Squad movement, which encourages women to embrace their bodies and focus on what they can do rather than what they look like. Through this community, she repaired her relationship with her body, leading her to repair her  relationship with food. These were powerful catalysts that allowed her to run harder, longer, and faster. She eventually ran a 2:47 marathon - just 2 minutes and 5 seconds off the 2020 Olympic Trials qualifying time. Teresa is a Navy wife, Mom of 4, and life long runner. She realized as an adult she was a very skilled marathoner, and was able to run a sub 3 hour including a 2:50 OQT attempt. After years of being "a slave to the paces," she found the trails and went straight into Hurt100. Liz  was one of six women to run from Boston to New York 560kilometres / 350 Miles in 11 days - an ultra a day. She was an absolute pleasure to chat with and brings fresh energy to the sport!  "Finishing in the dark, beyond tired, with swollen joints hurts, but I am also quite happy. Reid Taylor is a Delta Firefighter who has now run 2 marathons wearing 45-pounds of his turnout gear. Reid has always been an athlete but endurance running was something entirley new to him.  After his first marathon he began to get chest pains and training stopped abruptly. Ellie has loved sports all her life, and came into distance running with her first marathon at 40. Rivka was so much fun to chat to! She started running in her late 50's in 2013, and ran her first half marathon in 2015. She's now completed quite a few road half marathons, a few trail races, and two marathons. She is  a mother of five sons, and grandmother to one and one on the way. Rivka is also a birth attendant, attending some births and teaching a birth attendant course. She is also training for her first 50k! Anushay has always defined herself as an Academic but struggled to call herself an athlete. She moved to Canada from Pakistan and quickly became involved in the trail running community and with a bit of work is now both an athlete and an ultrarunner.  Anushay was inspired to go further and push her body and mind to complete her first 50km last summer.
