March Madness

2024-04-0951:28

This week we discuss this years NCAA March Madness tournament. If you have not been watching then we aren't sure what you're doing. Going into the Final Four game we have the UConn men and women, NC State men and women, Alabama men, Purdue men and Iowa women and South Carolina women. The UConn men are trying to repeat as National Champions but they will need to get passed a resilient Alabama team. However the most exciting part of this entire tournament has been the women and the excitement and great basketball that they have been bringing. Caitlin Clark who plays for Iowa is trying to make it back to the National Championship game but this time come out on top and end her college career with a ring, In order to do so however, Iowa will need to make it past Paige Bueckers and a tough but limited UConn squad. LSU and USC were both eliminated during the Elite 8 games but both teams played hard and fought the entire game. LSU played against Iowa and it was very much a back and forth game but Caitlin Clark just would not let up and scored 41pts to advance to the final four. USC and UConn was also a back and forth matchup but UConn just had a little more in the tank to pull the win to make it to their 23rd final four appearance. Let us know who you think will make it to the championship game and come out on top.
Hey, hey, hey! On this weeks episode we start off by giving NFL updates. Yes, Bre finally won a week during her family's football pool lol. Also if you haven't been paying attention the Dallas Cowboys have been playing good football and Dak Prescott is in the conversation of MVP. Do you agree with the MVP convo or where do you stand? Going into week 14 where does your NFL team stand in the rankings and who do you have going into the playoffs? Moving to the NBA, let us just say that this in-season tournament is confusing but it seems to be going well. The only thing regarding this in-season tournament that isn't pleasant and making it hard to watch, is the courts. The designs of these courts are horrible and we are not sure who approved the designs but they need to do it over. The in-season tournament is now entering into the semifinals and the championship taking placed on December 9th. Do you think that the winner of the in-season tournament will be the clear NBA finals winner or could anything happen after All Star? Let us know your thoughts.
On this weeks episode we discussed the recent NFL games and more importantly how Bre is participating in weekly picks. This season has started off with a lot of upsets and teams losing by massive deficits. We also discussed the newfound fame the NFL has garnered since Taylor Switft has been attending Chiefs games in support of Travis Kielce. What is your take on Taylor Switft and the NFL? Do you like the new fame or are you over it? Next we venture over into the NBA and discuss the biggest news of the week which is Damian Lillard being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks and Jrue Holiday being traded to the Portland Trailblazers. Will this be good for Dame and does this trade automatically make the Bucks a finals contender? With a few big major trades happening this offseason how do you see the season turning out?

We Back!!! This weeks episode is a preview of what is suppose to come in this upcoming season. Football season is vastly approaching so make sure you claim your team. World Championships in track & field have been happening and it has been exciting. Congrats to all of the winners on Team USA. Noah Lyles who is the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relay winner however has made some comments how he feels like the NBA should call themselves world champions because they don't compete against the world. These comments however have been sitting well with the players in the NBA. Do you agree with Noah Lyles? Speaking lightly on the NBA our favorite players who we grew up on are getting older and it poses the question of what will the future of the NBA look like? Do you think its in great hands or could it use some improvement? Let us know your thoughts.
Hey hey hey!! On this weeks episode we talk about all things trades, and contracts. The offseason is usually always more exciting than the playoffs because of all the different things that happen. First we start off with how Damian Lillard has officially requested a trade from the Portland Trailblazers. Honestly, Dame should have been asked for a trade because the help he has been needing wasn't coming. Hopefully he gets a trade that works for him. Kyrie is returning to Dallas which could be a good thing, because him and Luka could have something special in Dallas. Also, Draymond Green will be returning to the Warriors and if you think about their lineup, could this be the year that Chris Paul gets ring? But please don't forget about the new look that the Phoenix Suns have with their addition of Bradley Beal. So much has happened, with so much more to take place. Lastly if you haven't heard ESPN is making some changes and a few of your favorite commentators have been let go, such has Jeff Vangundy and Jalen Rose and etc. What are your thoughts on all these changes? Let us know!!
NBA Update and Finals

NBA Update and Finals

2023-06-1233:05

Oh, we're back!! On this weeks episode we ran down all the things that have transpired in the NBA starting with Ja Morant. If you've been keeping up then you know that he is once again facing consequences just months after his first incident. Adam Silver has stated a few times that his consequence will be known after the NBA Finals. Do you think Ja has learned his lesson or do you think he will commit the same incident again? Next we touched on all of the different updates that have happened with the NBA coaches and the teams they have been let go from and where they are ending up. Of all the coaching changes, Monty Williams being let go from the Phoenix Sun had to be the most wild one. Monty will be the new head coach of the Detroit Pistons. What you are thoughts on all of the coaching changes? Do you think coaches shouldn't be held accountable for players for executing like they should? Also in this weeks news, Chris Paul has been waived by the Phoenix Suns. Where will CP3 end up or is this end of an incredible career. Let us know your thoughts. Lastly lets discuss the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets versus the Miami Heat. For the first time in franchise history the Nuggets are in the finals and the Miami Heat are back in the finals since bubble season. Currently Denver is leading the series 2-1 with game 3 airing tonight. If Denver wins game 4 and game 5 is back on their home court, they could possibly send the Heat home and be the 2023 NBA Champions. Will Denver win it all or do you think Miami can make a comeback especially if Jimmy Butler plays amazing basketball? Let us know your thoughts.
Let The Playoffs Begin

Let The Playoffs Begin

2023-04-1735:46

On this weeks episode we start off by congratulating the LSU Tigers and the UConn Huskies on their respective NCAA titles. Then we move on to the NBA Playoffs starting with the Play-In Tournament. The LA Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks each earned a spot in the playoffs from their play-in tournament win this week. We then discuss the match-ups in each conference without the 8th seed (its still being decided) and give our predictions. In the eastern conference we believe that the Celtics/Hawks will be a good series with the Celtics winning round one. On the west, we agree that the Lakers/Grizzlies game is going to be top excitement with a lot of trash talking. This years playoffs is also the first time that all 4 California teams are in the playoffs. Also in this playoffs, Lebron is going after his 5th championship and the Warriors are trying to be back to back champions again. The next couple of weeks shall be extremely interesting to see who wins and who goes home. Let us know your predictions!
On this weeks episode we start off by congratulating Pau Gasol on his jersey retirement with the Lakers. Pau is officially cemented in the rafters with a few of the Lakers great and his jersey will hang forever next to his brother Kobe Bryant. Pau's ceremony brought out a lot of Laker greats who played with him and even some who did not but respected him as a player. Vanessa Bryant also presented Pau with a video from Kobe speaking very highly of Pau stating he could not wait for the day when Paul ad his jersey retirement. Although very touching it was also a bittersweet moment because Kobe is no longer with us to celebrate. Next we move over to the Memphis Grizzlies and start off by discussing the drama around Ja Morant. If you do not know Ja Morant went out to a club in Colorado, flashed a gun and has since been in the spotlight facing backlash and also was under investigation both with the NBA but also in Colorado. This incident where Ja Morant has been shown negatively in the spotlight. Since the incident Ja has been suspended from a total of 6 games and he has apologized and stated that he plans on taking some time away to get hisself together. Does Ja Morant need better people around him? Lastly we discussed the invisible beef between Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks. Dillon Brooks stated that he doesn't like Draymond or the Warriors and Draymond responded on his posted and called Dillon a clown. Honestly, this beef is unnecessary because no-one sees either team as a rivalry with each other. How do you feel about the Draymond and Dillon beef? Whose side are you on?
Hey, we're back! We definitely missed you all. First, lets get all the formalities out of the way. Happy New Year, Merry Christmas etc. On this weeks episode we jumped right in and gave a huge congrats to Lebron Jones on passing Kareem Abdul Jabar and is now the NBA Leading All Time Scorer. Whether you like Lebron or not you definitely have to respect what he has accomplished and give him what he deserves. To be able to break a record that has stood in place for 39yrs is incredible and should not be taken lightly, Now that Lebron has broken the record does this make him the Greatest Of All Time? We believe that categorizing someone as the GOAT is subjective and is solely dependent on what your standards may be. Regardless this is an amazing accomplishment and should not be downplayed. Next we moved on to all of the excitement that has been taken place regarding trades. If you haven't heard, Kyrie Irving has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks and we for sure thinks this is a good luck. Kevin Durant is also leaving the Brooklyn Nets and has been traded to the Phoenix Suns. What we all thought was going to be a dominate Brooklyn Nets team on paper just never correlated in reality. However with both Kyrie and KD now being back in the West Conference, the West just got that more deadly. Looking at the way teams are currently stacked, who are you taking out of the West? Lastly, we give our predictions picks of who will win the Super Bowl this Sunday. Are you a Eagles or a Chiefs fan? We are hoping for a close but good game.

On this weeks episode we discussed Brittney Griner and how she has been transported to a new detention center that is based around labor. Brittney has been sentenced to 9yrs in Russia but the United States is still working trying to get her release. With this move Brittneys family is not aware as to where she has been transferred too and they probably will not have contact with her for a while. Please keep continue to keep Brittney Griner in your prayers and that she gets released soon. FREE BG!! Next we discussed the slow start to the season but there has been some good surprises. The Cavs are a team to look out for and also the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are the first team in the NBA to have reached 10 wins so far this season. On the opposite end, veteran teams such as the Lakers and the Warriors with championship caliber players are struggling. The Lakers have only won 2 games so far this season and the Warriors had a road trip and lost every game. Now it is still very early in the season but something has to change because if either team plans to make a playoff run they will not with the way they have been playing. Lastly we discussed Kyrie Irving and the controversy surrounding him. It is clear that Kyrie needed to apologize but the demands given to him by the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets was way out of pocket. Do you think Kyrie should be allowed to play and were the demands given too harsh?
On this weeks episode we discussed opening week of the NBA for its 76th season. The first two games of the season were between the 76ers and Celtics. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics picked up where they left off at during the NBA Finals against the Warriors. If you have not realized it yet, we are not sure where you have been but Jayson Tatum is a complete star and has a long career head of him. The 76ers with the new addition of James Harden also played well even though they lost but even with the loss you can tell they will have a strong season ahead. The next game was against the Warriors and Lakers and it was also the ring ceremony for the Warriors. The ring ceremony and raising of the newest banner was amazing to see but the main even was the game. The Warriors did what needed to be done as reining champions and came out on top. If you were wondering there is no animosity within the team despite the recent altercation because they have a job to do which is achieve another ring. The following day followed games for the a lot of other teams but one game that stuck out was the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns. This game was definitely a repeat of their battle during the first round were the Mavs booted the Suns during the first round. The Mavericks came out playing with a vengeance proving why they run during the first round because the Suns were playing like a team lost. However during the second half the Suns came back out and did win the game. Later in the week the Lakers played against the Clippers and the Lakers are proving that they need to make some adjustments. Between the two games they played in opening week they were 8-84 from 3 and their backcourt is not getting points like other backcourts may be accumulating. Will the Lakers be able to turn it around? Are the Clippers the new LA team? The season will be interesting.
We're Back!

We're Back!

2022-10-1234:57

WE'RE BACK!! On this weeks episode we relive some of the highlights over the summer, such as the WNBA Championship, and the retiring of Serena Williams. We highlight the Las Vegas Aces on their first championship and give a huge shoutout to Becky Hammon on her first championship as a coach. We also highlight Sue Bird who officially retired at the end of the season once the Seattle Storm did not make the finals. We cannot wait to see what Sue Bird will do next because we know that she will be amazing at whatever she tries to conquer next. Lastly, we have a huge shoutout to Serena Williams who also retired at the end of her season. Serena is the GOAT and will forever reign as one of the greatest people to step foot on a tennis court. We discussed some more recent events such as what has been happening in the NFL with Russell Wilson and how he hasn't been playing at the level we know he can in Denver. We discussed Tom Brady and how we think that he needs to retire especially if he wants to save his family. Honestly, what else there for him to accomplish?? Lastly we discussed the practice fight between Jordan Poole and Draymond Green. The fact that the fight happened is unnecessary but what makes it worst is that the video should never have been made public. The fight happened during a practice that no one should be privy to but the people who are in that practice. What did you think of the fight? Do you think Draymond needs a harsh punishment?
On this weeks episode we began as always discussing Brittney Griner and how she needs to be brought home from being in Russia. Her trial began on July 1st. She wrote President Biden a personal letter requesting for his assistance in bringing her home because she has been there since February. Brittney pleaded guilty for having the vape but it was not her intention to break any law. We know the comparison is not fair but if this were a white male athlete people who have some sort of power would be working overtime to bring him home to his family. This weekend is also the WNBA All Star game. Make sure you tune in and watch Sue Bird and also Syliva Fowles play in their final game as WNBA players. Botha are retiring at the end of the season. Next we discuss the excitement of the NBA offseason and the different trades and also contract extensions that have happened so far. Both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are looking to leave Brooklyn and it is still up in the air on where they will end up. John Wall has signed with the Clippers and Bradley Beal has resigned with the Washington Wizards. Jokic has signed the highest ever NBA contact extension in history. A lot has happened but we know that more is sure to come during this offseason so stay locked in and make sure you are following Woj.

On this weeks episode we discussed Brittney Griner and how her detention in Russia is continuously getting pushed back. FREE BG! Next we talked about Sue Bird and how the legend herself announced her retirement after the current WNBA season. Sue Bird has played her entire career with the Seattle Storm where she has 4 WNBA Championships. She is the point guard and her presence on the court will be missed but we are definitely looking forward to what she does next. Lastly we discussed the NBA Finals between the Warriors and the Celtics. Going into the finals we both knew it would be a battle between both teams. What we didn't expect however was for Boston to make a comeback in game one and win and then have the world calling the series to go 7 games with a strong possibility of a Boston championship. The Warriors however had other things planned because they won 3 straight to win another title in game 6. Steph Curry yet again proved why he is the greatest shooter we have seen and that he needs to be considered in the top 10 greatest of all time. Is Steph in your top 10? Can the Warriors repeat and do it all again next season?

Down to the Wire

2022-05-3031:31

On this weeks episode we talked about Colin Kaepernick and how he was invited to a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders. While we are happy to see Kap back int he news still trying to get back on the field, it does make you ask if he will ever get back to where he was before he was blackballed. However we are rooting for Kap because he deserves another shot to play the sport that he loves. Next, we jumped right into NHL playoffs and how the Blues are needing to win tonight's game in order to force a game 7. To be honest we counted the Blues out during game 5 just because they were down entering into the last quarter but they fought and even forced OT to come back and fight during 6. Hopefully the Blues can force a 7 because we think this is their year! Jumping right into the thick of the NBA playoffs we want to send congratulations to the Golden State Warriors on winning during game 5 against the Mavs and becoming the 2022 Western Conference Champs. The Warriors have made it to the NBA Finals and now wait for the winner between Boston and Miami. Game 6 is tonight and Boston might close out and move on the next round or Miami could force a game 7. Either way whoever is going to face against the Warriors it is going to be an interesting NBA Finals.
On this weeks episode we started off by discussing Cardinal baseball. The season is still in the beginning stages and like always the Cards are very hot/cold. The win some and loses some which is fine but as the season progresses they are going to have to be more consistent if they want to make a run for a championship. Next we move on the WNBA which has officially began their season. Brittney Griner is still being detained in Russia and news was just released that her deliberation to be released has again been pushed back another 30 days. Continue to keep her and her family in your prayers. This WNBA season feels different because we know that this could be the last time we see Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi battle it out on the court. Make sure you tune in and watch these legends. If you are not aware we are officially in playoff season for both the NHL and NBA. The St. Louis Blues have advanced and will be moving on to the next round to face the Colorado Avalanche. This is good sign because this is the first time since they won the Stanley Cup in 2019 that they have made it out of round one. We're trying to make it back to the Stanley Cup Finals! Lastly we discussed the NBA playoffs and how so far they haven't been as exciting but its still been entertaining. The only team in either conference that has officially advanced to the next round is the silent but could be very deadly Miami Heat. Miami does not get talked about a lot in the media but they are definitely a team you should be watching out for. In the Eastern Conference the Celtics and Bucks are in a fight with Game 6 being tonight and if Boston wins they can force a game 7. In the Western Conference, the Warriors will face Memphis tonight in game 6 and hopefully they can handle business and close out the series because nobody wants a game 7 going back to Memphis. Game 5 was a complete blowout by Memphis, but if you have been watching the Warriors for a minute you know the they prefer to win and close out a series on their home court. Lastly in the West, the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks series is taking a turn that I don't think many saw coming. They will be playing a game 7 for a winner take all in moving to the next round. Who do you have making it to the finals?
Round One NBA Playoffs

Round One NBA Playoffs

2022-04-2537:24

On this weeks episode we discussed all the games happening during round one of the NBA playoffs. Round one has been filled with a lot of excitement from different series but then there are some series where its just a easy call on who is winning the whole thing. The Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics might be the best series during round one. Boston has been playing amazing basketball and for that reason it is  very possible that they may knock the Nets out of playoff contention. In the west, the Golden State Warriors have been playing amazing against the Denver Nuggets and could very well sweep the series. Also in the west the Phoenix Suns versus the New Orleans Pelicans has been an interesting series. Devin Booker had an amazing first half in game two but during the second half got injured with a hamstring injury and will miss between 2-3 weeks. Does Booker being out change anything for the Suns in terms them being forward? Let us know who you have moving forward to the second round in both conferences. Overall playoff season is in full swing and we are excited about it.  A special shoutout goes to our guest this week, Jacob!
All NBA Things

All NBA Things

2022-04-1835:43

During this episode we focused on all things NBA. First we started with discussing the firing of Lakers head coach, Frank Vogel. We think that firing him was a bit extreme and that all of the blame for the struggles of the team this season are being left on him when that should not be the case. A few people within the Lakers are at fault and they should each carry equal blame. Next we dropped right into the NBA playoffs starting off with the play-in tournament games that took place during the week. Congratulations to the Nets and Timbewolves on securing a spot in the playoffs. The reaction of the Timberwolves after winning and securing their spot, you would have thought they won the championship. Round 1 o the plays begins on Saturday and the series we are looking forward to the most starts on Sunday between the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets. That is going to be a hard fought series between two really good teams in this first round. Let us know your thoughts on you who you have moving and who you think will win it all!
On this weeks episode we discussed the championship games for both the men and women during March Madness. Huge congratulations to the Kansas Jayhawks and also the South Carolina Gamecocks. Both games were amazing and well deserved wins for both teams. If you missed either game you missed out on some really good basketball but be ready for next season. We discussed the downfall of the Lakers this season and how they have been eliminated form playoff contention. The big issue is now is, everyone is playing the blame game and blaming each other for the demise of this season. In your opinion who takes the bulk of the blame? Lastly we discussed Opening Day for the STL Cards and how every year its a major holiday here in our city. Albert Puljos has made his return to STL on a one year contract and the city is hoping for a Championship. Baseball season is upon and we cannot be more excited.
On this weeks episode we discuss what is happening with Brittney Griner being held in Russia on drugs charges. It is a lot of issues surrounding her being held there especially since the rest of the world found out weeks after she had been charged. Also with what his happening in the world with Russia, it is very clear that BG is definitely being held as a political reason and they need to get her home. Next, we discuss Bre's favorite time of the year which is March Madness and it is in full affect and we are for certain that a lot of brackets are busted, lol. Lastly we discuss all of the things that have happened since All Star took place. We congratulate Lebron James on his continuous road to dominance and all of the individual milestones he continues to reach. We discuss Kyrie Irving and how he is allowed to be in the building when the Nets play home games but still can't play even though in New York there is no mask mandate. Its not making a lot of sense and a lot people, even players on other teams think the Mayor of New York needs to figure it out and quickly. Of the final 14 games the Nets have Kyrie can only play in 4 of them. Lastly we dicusss the Phoenix Suns and the run they currently are on. At the moment they are the only team to have solidified a spot in the post season. Could this be the year after the upset of losing last year? We shall see!
