Alex Troutman is an African American biologist that is breaking down doors in the science field. Alex grew up in Atlanta and from a early age was hypnotized by wildlife. Although it was hard because he didn't see conservationist that looked like him, his love still grew for mother nature. When he started school he actually was studying to be a veterinarian and then a field biology class changed his point of view on a career. Steve and Sarah Malinowski of Fisher Island Oyster Company graced the Oyster Ninja Podcast with so much knowledge and grace. The very humble couple have been active farmers for over 40 years. You can not talk oyster sustainability, climate change, or policy without including the Malinowski family. I had a great time talking with Terrell Brown of Brown oyster supply. His family goes back at least 3 generations working on the water and doesn't have any signs of stopping.
