My travel agent, who has been to 91 countries and is such an aviation geek that he can tell you the type of plane overhead just by the sound of its engines, sat down with me to talk travel. I asked him all kinds of questions including which destinations he’s booking, which ones he’s not and his tricks for saving his clients money.
Stewart Chiron, aka The Cruise Guy, has been on 310 cruises, including two in the last month. Stewart was kind enough to answer every question I threw at him. Plus, we spoke about how cruising has changed since the pandemic and he offered up his best cruise tips.
I recently interviewed David J. Alwadish, who CEO of ItsEasy.com and arguably founded the passport expediting business decades ago. I asked David a lot of passport-related questions, including where people can get one in an emergency.
Yesterday, I interviewed my friend Julie, known to many as A Lady In London, about 12 things to know before you go to London. She is originally from San Francisco but moved to London and now runs an award-winning travel and lifestyle blog. In this episode, she shares a ton of great tips for anyone planning a trip to one of my favorite cities in the world: London.
My buddy Adam Parken lives and works in Germany for Blacklane. He travels around Europe with his three kids and has great tips and incredible stories including being a batboy for the Texas Rangers and for the visiting team playing the Boston Red Sox.
Virtuoso, the world’s leading international luxury travel agency network, has identified where affluent Americans are traveling this summer. Thanks to travel’s unprecedented resurgence and Virtuoso’s data warehouse of more than $49.5 billion in travel bookings, they were able to pinpoint the top 10 domestic and international destinations for the 2022 summer season. I sat down with Misty Belles,  Virtuoso's Vice President, Global Public Relations, to talk about the findings.
Travel writer Kevin Revolinski, aka The Mad Traveler, has traveled to 75+ countries and lived abroad in several, including Thailand, Turkey, Italy, Guatemala and Panama. He's currently based in Madison, Wisconsin but just arrived in Thailand to share his travel tips.
Stewart Chiron, aka The Cruise Guy, has been on 289 cruises, including 13 in the last eight months. Stewart was kind enough to answer every question I threw at him, from how has cruising changed since the pandemic to which ships are the most luxurious and which ports are his favorite.
Ever since the pandemic began, the number of questions and emails I received regarding passports and visas doubled. It’s always been stressful to get a last-minute passport or visa but the pandemic has made things even more challenging. That’s why I invited Philip Diack on my show. Philip started PassportsAndVisas.com over 20 years ago so he has seen it all and is the perfect person to answer passport and visa questions. I learned a lot from our 24-minute conversation.
I just interviewed Christina Bernstein an American vacationing in Paris and discovered she caught COVID on her last day. Fortunately, she’s fully vaccinated, boosted and had very mild symptoms. I asked Christina all kinds of questions and she was kind enough to share her experience including how much extra she spent on COVID precautions.
Here's a twist ... Kevin and Sue McCarthy hosts of the Travel Planners Radio Show just sent me the files from my guest appearance from their show today. So instead of just filing the files away I'm uploading them here.
Valerie Joy Wilson, an American solo travel expert, just returned from three weeks in Thailand. She fills us in what it's like flying via Singapore, Doha and traveling around Thailand's “No Quarantine” Sandbox. She also shares the importance of travel insurance.
Nomadic Matt, who runs NomadicMatt.com, just returned from 80 days in Europe! He spent the summer bouncing around the Greek islands and four other countries. He has plenty of tips for American's hopping the pond.
I interviewed is a travel writer named Jules Older, who lived in San Francisco with his wife but used to teach in New Zealand. When the pandemic hit and they saw how the New Zealand government was handling the crisis, they packed up their belongings and moved, all within three weeks. That was back in August of 2020. I checked in with Jules to see if he still loves living in New Zealand.
In mid-2020, travel writer Jules Older and his wife packed up their apartment in San Francisco and moved to New Zealand to escape COVID-19. When I interviewed him in November of 2020, it was a lot different than it is today (August 14, 2021).

Kevin Coffey is a travel security expert, who’s been featured numerous of times on Oprah, CNN, Fox News, ABC’s 20/20 … We’ve spoken many times at the same travel conferences so I know firsthand that he knows his stuff.   That’s because Kevin spent several decades as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department and was responsible for the creation of the LAPD’s LAX Airport Crimes Investigation detail. There he led the investigation of crimes committed against travelers at LAX airport, surrounding hotels, and car rental agencies. So now you can see why I asked Kevin to come on my podcast. He has tons of stories and tips and the man can speak for days. His website is KevinCoffey.com
Bob Sirott and Marianne Murciano are a husband and wife duo that are fixtures on the Chicago media landscape. They co-anchored multiple radio and TV shows and know the Windy City better than anyone. Bob currently hosts WGN's morning show while Marianne is sharing her incredible lifestyle tips and recipes on Savvy-planet.com. I was fortunate to get them to share some of their favorite Chicago restaurants and the must thing attraction for every visitor.
Thailand is one of my favorite countries. However, you probably don't want to be visiting during COVID-19 since the quarantine rules are strict. My friend and travel author Kevin Revolinski (https://KevinRevolinski.com & https://TheMadTraveler.com) shares what it's like to travel to, and quarantine in, Thailand during COVID-19.
