HBCU's are recently at the forefront of not only sports news, but popular culture as well. In this episode 3 The Hard Way get into the long illustrious list of prominent athletes that went to HBCU's (you'll be shocked by some of the names) and discuss the future of HBCU's in sports as they are joined by special guest, former NFL exec and scout David Turner. David doesn't hold back in his assessment of where sports is at currently and where it's heading regarding HBCU and their place in the sports landscape3 The Hard Way also brings back the segments This Can't Be Life and What You Rockin Wit!! Show HBCU's some love and join us in our first ever sequel of our podcast!! 

The stage is set, the lights are bright and everybody loves you when you're performing on the field or court in sports. But what happens after the limelight dims? 3 The Hard Way dive into the topic nobody talks about; where do athletes go after their athletic career is over and you're not one of the hall of famers that can live off of their name for the rest of their lives. This episode 3 The Hard Way are joined by  special guest former New York City basketball star and UMass shooting guard Charlton Clarke, who gives insight into what it took to make it to the Div I basketball level, the pitfalls on the way to that level and the reality of life afterwards. 3 The Hard Way also bring back segments "This Can't Be Life" and the popular segment "What You Rockin Wit?" We all remember that famous Austin Powers quote, "That's a Maaaan, Baby!!" But in 2022, what does it mean to be a "man"? Is it the old school definition of the gruff, strong but silent tough guy, or is it something deeper? In this episode 3 The Hard Way delves into this complicated question of what it means to me a man in 2022. Does your sexuality dictate this? Does your gender identity dictate this? These are complicated questions in the modern era. Listen as 3 The Hard Way go deep into these questions and discusses what the old school definition was and does it apply to today. Episode 21: HIStoryAre you a history buff?? Do you read up on history or HIStory?? 3 The Hard Way dive into the real deal events that the history books sanitized. From Christopher Columbus to other myths that the educational system perpetuates still to this day. Also the segment Notable Mention is back for this episode as 3 The Hard Way shines a light on the rap groups Public Enemy and X-Clan who cut through the BS and gave the real on how things really went down. Episode 20: Much Love Like Wimbledon"She hitting me and him and him, much love like Wimbledon",...Lil Cease famously said these lyrics in the Junior Mafia "Get Money (Remix), where he talked about...... sharing the love. LOL! 3 The Hard Way get into the taboo subject of polygamy (that's multiple partners for those who didn't score high on their SAT's 😉)! They break down the history of polygamy throughout civilization and get into polygamy in today's America. Traditional norms are out the window on this episode!!

Episode 19: Scandal! (No Olivia Pope)No, we aint talking about Kerry Washington's famous role on tv!! We're talking about some of the biggest scandals of our time where cigars were somehow related!! Whether it be infamous R+B singer and renowned cigar smoker R. Kelly and his predilection for under age girls, or Fidel Castro and his reign of terror in Cuba, or the former president himself, Bill Clinton and the inventive ways he chose to use his cigars, 3 The Hard Way go deep into the scandals that rocked the country!! 3 The Hard Way also bring back their popular segments "Notable Mention" and "What You Rockin Wit"! We get into everything from the genesis of the urban New York cigar culture, to its present state and everything in between. Oh, and best believe there are plenty of shots thrown. But what if I told you they were about to happen all over again? 3 The Hard Way discuss the upcoming party that's about to kick off as Covid becomes a thing of the past and the world opens back up. They also go into the history of the original Roaring Twenties and pull out some facts that you might not know about. And of course, they delve into the Summer of 2021, aka "Slutty Summer"!!

Episode 14: "ACCE$$": Tiger Woods, The Williams Sisters, Simone Biles,....when you think of athletes of color, these athletes come to mind. But did you ever consider what it took for them to get there in these elite (and sometimes "elitist") sports?? Sit back and listen as 3 The Hardway dive into the more expensive sports for children to get into and how their lack of financial access prevents many from getting into them. 3 The Hard Way pulls no punches as they discuss their personal experience getting their kids into these sports and the struggles they've faced. 

Episode 13: "The Billion Dollar Industry": Put down the Jergens and listen close as 3 The Hard Way get into the topic that no one has the balls to discuss. That's right, 3 The Hard Way talk about the porn industry!! The billion dollar industry that no one (allegedly) supports, frequents or indulges in. They also get into how the quarantine has changed the industry and how it poured even more money into the industry!! Make sure you have your anti-virus protection software ready for this episode!! LOL!!

Episode 12: "Gang!! Gang!!": Throw ya sets up and take the journey with 3 The Hard Way as they discuss the gang phenomenon in America!! They also get into the mass incarceration problem in America and whether that's led to the gang population that America currently has. And of course numerous stats get brought out to support all positions 3 The Hard Way takes. There might be some nervous listeners on this one!!

Episode 11: "What's Beef?": All vegetarians and vegans fall back for this episode!! 3 The Hard Way talk straight beef, no veggie on this one!! Follow 3 The Hard Way on their journey through different beefs throughout the entertainment industry and get into the difference between actual beef and fake beef. And of course the episode wouldn't be complete without profiling the king of beef, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson! Listen as we profile him in our Notable Mention segment. Get ya forks ready with this one! Episode 10: "Black on Both Sides": All black people are lazy and broke! Well, at least that's the myth. 3 The Hard Way gets deep in this episode, chronicling the stereotypical welfare recipient and dispelling the myth that all people on welfare are poor blacks. They also dive into whether welfare actually helps people of color in this country or hurts. They also get into some of the past amazing black inventors of this country and the inventions they came up with that are widely used, but not not widely known as having black inventors. In this episode they also bring back the Billionaire Block Gem of the Week, profiling a quote from the late great Nipsey Hussle.

Episode 9: "Purple Tape, Track 9": It was a long time coming with this episode!! Back in August of 1995, Chef Raekwon dropped arguably one of the greatest albums in hip hop history. And on that album was one of the most talked about skits ever! 3 The Hard Way invites you to look up what track 9 of that album was; as they give a wink to all the haters and biters in the industry. They get into creating something of value through creativity versus just throwing money at a venture, as well as two different approaches to business ingenuity. The guys also bring back their segment Billionaire Block Gem of the Week, highlighting a gem from one of the most notable businessmen in the country. Some people are gonna be salty after this one! But 3 The Hard Way invites hate!!

Episode 8: "Yo Mama": You remember the playground, the stoop or the backyard with all the jokes!! And those jokes inevitably led to "yo mama" jokes!! 3 The Hard Way are in full joke mode on this episode as they get into the history of black and brown people cracking jokes around the neighborhood, as well as their favorite and funniest "yo mama" jokes. Episode 7: "Ok, I Reloaded!!": The one thing America loves more than money is it's GUNS!! Join 3 The Hard Way as they delve into one of the most controversial amendments; The 2nd Amendment, which guarantees the right to bear arms.  We discuss America's fascination with guns through its movies, the "sport" of hunting and the glamorization of the wild wild west!! They also get deeper into the 2nd Amendment, and how it applies to the black and brown citizens of the country. The episode also introduces a new segment called "Critical Beatdown" , profiling the production stylings of Smoke 'N Ashes own, internationally renowned Dj Static! Episode 6: "The Chronic 2021": Roll that ish, light the ish, smoke it!! If you indulge in the sticky icky, you'll wanna light up for this one! 3 The Hard Way get deep into the legalization of the ever controversial cannabis plant and the history of the plant's influence on the arts. We also bring back our Notable Mention segment, honoring the man, the myth, the legend, Big Snoop Dogg. You might go through a whole tube of cookie dough on this one!!
