Happy holidays! Sky, Amanda, and CJ sit around the yule log Youtube video while discussing the most unsupervised of all Christmas movies, Home Alone. The conversation moves around from Dane Cook, to Saw, to Duece Bigalow, to the creation of so many fan theories. Oh, and the movie itself comes up a few times.
Sky and Celine chat about what it means to work in the wardrobe department in film and television. This is an episode all about clothes, and the things you may not have ever thought about that go on behind the scenes. Filming in winter, filling time between jobs, the crazy weight of period dresses, even redesigning Santa! All this and more on this week's episode.
Sky and Alycia spent five hours just getting drunk. Oh, and then they decided to attempt to record an episode about 90s television. Don't let them fool you when they claim the episode will be family friendly, they drank far too much for that kind of promise. Hear them stumble through nostalgia as they talk about Stickin' Around, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and so much more!
Sky and Colleen get together to talk about characters, only to end up on the subject of Netflix and binge watching habits. So much of the focus is Broadway musicals, but they do find their way around to Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabina, League of Legends, and, somehow, Jeopardy.
Sky, CJ, and Amanda work together to fill out the roster for our very own Smash Bros game. They range from realistic choices for the real Smash Bros series, to Sony nostalgia, to completely out of left field choices, with a few game-breaking final moves thrown in for good measure.
Sky and Sean try something new on this episode. They decide to look at just a single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, recapping and reviewing what happens. Only here can you learn the source of Buffy's punny powers, what Sky sees as the trope's metaphor, and just how much Sean hates the word "daddy".
Sky, Abi, and Sean talk about all their hopes and dreams for the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With only one movie fully announced, there is a whole world of options left for them to explore, and they take full advantage of it.
Sky and Jess decided to try out a new format of episode where they try to imagine their favourite fictional worlds but with a key hypothetical difference. First on the docket: What if Dudley went to Hogwarts and What if Aang was from the Fire Nation?
Sky, Abi, and Madison are ready getting ready for some spooks! With Halloween this week, the nerds are all about their favourite horror movies, and other Halloween viewing traditions, even getting into their past costume choices.
Sky and Sean talk all about crossing mediums from video games to movies and back again. Their favourites take the spotlight as they try to figure out what makes a good adaptation.
Sky, Kristi, and Andrew are back to finish their lists of which five television shows they would recommend to someone to give a feel for their tastes and personality.
Sky, Kristi, and Andrew talk over what five television shows they would recommend to someone to give a feel for their tastes and personality. Spoiler alert: their tastes are far too eclectic to be contained into a single episode. Here's the first half of their picks!
Sky, Alex, and Sean come together to discuss what might be the biggest combination fandom on the internet! This week is all about SuperWhoLock, the combination of Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock. They talk over all of their biggest hopes for what could happen if a crossover ever came to be.
Sky, Abi, and Madison come together to talk shipping. They run the gamut, ranging from who should get down, all the way to who are just great together as friends. Of course, it wouldn't be a shipping episode without at least touching on some popular fanfic pairings.
Sky hangs out with Abi and Riley to talk over what fictional items they would most want to bring into our world for mundane purposes. Listen as they prove just how capable they are of keeping exclusively to the topic at hand, never once getting distracted or leaving to make a drink.
Sky, Madison, and Sean just take a nice stroll through memory lane. They try to remember all the moments from TV and movies that scared the shit out them as kids, and eventually wind up on what made them cry. Could this be our happiest episode yet? (I doubt it)
BONUS EPISODE! Sky, Madison, and Riley come together to discover they do have the ability to stick to the topic, which makes for a very short episode. We figure out what will happen if television shows are invaded by horror subgenres. Spoiler alert, mostly people die.
Sky sits around the table with Abi and Jessica to discuss what fictional worlds should come together. What will represent the new Hogwarts houses? How will the apocalypse come to Bikini Bottom? Which side will the dragons be on when assassins come to Westeros? If these are the questions keeping you up at night, you're pretty random, but you've come to the right place!
