Description

The Uncanny X-Cast is the net's best podcast featuring reviews and analysis of Marvel's Mighty Mutants. Focusing almost exclusively on the comics, It's hosted by two long-time friends and X-fans, one of whom has been reading consistently for 20+ years and one of whom has just returned to the X-books after a decade long hiatus. Consequently, the 'cast is accessible to both long time and new readers. Ongoing segments include comic reviews, character bios, Top 5 lists and an ambitious "retro review" segment where the hosts take on the monumental task of re-reading and discussing the entire run of Uncanny X-Men, starting with #1. Since their last episode, I'm halfway through a degree, I travelled to Nepal and Morocco, read (amongst a shitload of novels and comic books) everything from X-Men Omnibuses 1-4: #1 to Uncanny #190; New Mutants #1-37, X-Factor #1-12 and a boatload of mini-serieses. I've read the first dozen issues or so of Wheadon's Astonishing, Morrison's New X-Men, Bendis's All-New, and dipped in and out of the past 5 years starting with the Krakoa reset. And I'm STILL nowhere near catching up with them!
