Honestly, there's a lot of sadness in this movie watching it as an adult and realizing the economic impact of having six children, five of them being infants. So...getting old is fun.

...Yeah this is a heavy movie for a DCOM, but more in a soapy way than ACTUALLY heavy.
Seriously, who read the FOURTH book in a lesser known book series from the 1960s-1980s and said to themselves "Yes. This. This is Disney Channel material."

Okay - something that we never got around to talking about in this episode - *why* is this movie called 'Horse Sense'? Is that a common phrase? What do horses know that we don't?
Apparently it's something with how to save your farmland so if that ever comes up for you, ask a horse for help.

Despite what the beginning of the episode may seem to say, we are not talking about the 2000 masterpiece Aardman vehicle "Chicken Run" in today's episode.
Is this movie super different than "Chicken Run" in the fact that the main character is striving to fight against their gender-informed destiny by breaking the mold? Yes. Is there also baking in some form in both? Yes. Is the name Edwina also used in both? Yes.
...maybe it is "Chicken Run"...

After a bit of an unexpectedly extended hiatus (thanks to Spectrum outages and the LA floods of Jan 2023) - we're back in it with "Jett Jackson: The Movie" from 2001! Was this movie a fever dream? No, but maybe it should have been.

The 2000s were not a *great* time for accurate representation of marginalized peoples...and this movie definitely follows that trend. A person living their life and competing in a race is *not* a miracle, Disney (we hope you've learned by now).

Welcome one and all to the fifth and final season of DCOM Mission. By the time this season is over we'll have been recording this show for nearly 3 years and will have watched over 100 DCOMs. It's a bittersweet moment for sure, but we hope you enjoy these last few episodes!
