The first Racing World show of the New Year. In todays show we talk about the Summer Motorsport Season in New Zealand thats kicks off in full force next weekend at the Taupo Motorsport Park. Then our main attention is the annual pre season IndyCar driver round up and we talk with all the kiwis and many others ranging from Armstrong , Dixon, McLaughlin, Blomqvist, Grosjean and others along with all the lates news on IndyCar and the Indy 500 for 2024. There's no one else in New Zealand covering IndyCar quite like us. So sit back and enjoy Racing World for another year.
The Indy 500 Open Test is the first major run before the event really kicks off and perhaps at times a sign of form as well. The 108th running is now that much closer. In this show we speak with Kyle Larson and Graham Rahal and also speak with the new team on the block in 2025 PERMA as they expand from Europe to INDYCAR. Plus we review the latest news and developments in the sport this week on Racing World.

Today we chat with many at the event and talk about how it went and our personal thoughts as well. Plus an inside look at the SprintCar 50 Lapper from Lucas Oil Western Springs Speedway in Auckland New Zealand. Its another edition of Racing World.
The opening round of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES held today in St Petersburg and what a great turn out from the kiwis. Dixon, McLaughlin and Armstrong in INDYCAR mix Callum Hedge in INDY NXT and 2024 NZGP winner Liam Sceats in USF Pro. We speak with many pre and post race. Plus we look at the latest news from INDYCAR and its been big thats for sure along with news of SVG to the main game and a Cup Car for Daytona later in the year. Then quick round up of F1 and round 2 of the 2024 championship all in this weeks edition of Racing World.
The one and only two day NTT INDYCAR SERIES pre season test was held at Sebring this week as the season is now under two weeks away from its first race at St Pete and the start of the 2024 season.We were able to catch us with some of the drivers and hear there thoughts going into the test and the season as Racing World once again has all things INDYCAR.

Racing World returns for another week. First up we talk Motorsport and Rally and the ERC then Indycar news and driver movements that are now all underway before this weekend's event at Gateway and the final oval of the season. The main focus however in this weeks show its the Motorsport NZ Elite Academy and David is joined by two of the Class of 2023 Dion Pitt and Zeal Jones to talk about academy life, motorsport and rally and how it is for a young racer these days. Just what great things so many young talents are doing in the sport. It's all in Racing World for another week.
Kiwis owned a big hunk of Indy this past weekend, Hunter McElrea kicked it off followed by Scott Dixon and SVG just continued to raise heads both at IRP in the NASCAR truck and then the NASCAR Cup Car at IMS. Plus Marcus Armstrong and Scott McLaughlin were in the mix as well.We chat with many of them along with Graham Rahal and Kyle Larson on his run for the Indy 500 in 2024 and look at the media and its approach over the past few days on all things NZ and Motorsport. Racing World is back and ready to go once again this week.   Big news with two kiwis conducting IndyCar tests as we made the show so there's always the chance of even more kiwis in IndyCar in 2023. Just think if the field had 4 kiwis in it in 2023.   Then Speedway and our super special guest Taylor Reimer who will be seen at Western Springs Speedway this summer in the International midget series and she is top class talent from the US. It will be great to see her and many other internationals return to the springs in both Midgets and Sprintcars. Nothing like a summers night at the springs.   Theres plenty to watch listen and enjoy once again this week on Racing World.
Racing World once again has plenty of Motorsport news this week.  First up we look at the driver market and everything from USF2000 and kiwi Jacob Douglas to F1 and IndyCar there is still plenty going on.   The latest in the Colton Herta saga and his no go to F1 and the effects of that.  The NTT IndyCar calendar for 23  F1 Vegas and there sprint races in 2023 and news there as well as other Motorsport news including Nick Cassidy and Louis Sharp.   A short show this week but plenty there on Racing World.
The Grand final of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series did not disappoint nor did the IndyLights Series both fitting races and championships all season long.   In this show we chat with all the main players, (Power, Newgarden) and talk with Scott McLaughlin and Scott Dixon on the weekend and re the end of an era at New Zealand's Pukekohe Park Raceway.   We hear from the new series champ Will Power as he talks with David on why IndyCar is the best overall open wheel series around.   Rookie of the Year Hunter McElrea chats on the show as well.   We review the week in the sport even more driver line up changes for 2022 in F1 and IndyCar, the issue of the super licence ,big wins for kiwis overseas in DTM and WEC and the Speedway season is getting closer in New Zealand and there is a host of great names coming to Aucklands Western Springs for the summer ahead.   Racing World has a Monster show this week for you all.

Plus a look ahead to all things local and the three big things in NZ, the South Island Endurance series kicks off this weekend, WRC is weeks away as is the final SuperCars event ever at Puke.   Its the Spring edition of Racing World.

Kiwi Scott Dixon creates even more records in IndyCar history claiming his 52nd win and tying with Mario Andretti for the second all time wins in the sport. Yes the Iceman is back. In this show we look at the street race at Toronto chat with Dixon, McLaughlin, Sato, Pagenaud and others re the race.   Along with this we look at Formula E in NYC and the Kiwis strong showing in both races of the series.   Then of course it would be nothing without talking Alex Palou so we look at just whats happened in the past week for Alex and IndyCar.  Racing World is back for another week.
