Track Brewing Co Presents - The Thirst Time

This week we sit down with Ben Stubbs, co-founder of Rivington Brewing Co.Having launched around the same time as us, we dipped into the nostalgia bag to chat about the Manchester beer scene. We also dive into how a US trip inspired it all, and how they grew from a humble homebrew setup into one of the most spectacular taprooms and breweries in the UK.Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. On this week's episode of The Thirst Time, we sat down with John Penno, owner and co-founder of Bold River Hops. This episode is part of a series of interviews with hop growers, running alongside our Cultivate beer series, where we celebrate the stories and hard work happening further up the supply chain.John has an incredibly interesting story: how hops became the answer to a question, could some of New Zealand's famous hop varieties grow this far south? We know the answer now, having just used their amazing Nectaron in one of our beers, but the story and science behind it are fascinating.Enjoy! On this episode, we speak to Jade McManus and Karen Taylor of Ryefield Hops, a first-generation hop farm based in Bemboka, New South Wales, Australia. This was a truly inspiring conversation about the hardships, challenges and breakthroughs of building a regenerative hop farm from scratch.Want to try the hops for yourself? We're releasing three beers, each showcasing a different Ryefield varietal, live now on our webshop.Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

To go alongside our collaboration with Bale Breaker and Loftus Ranches, we sat down with brewmaster and co-founder Kevin Smith.Bale Breaker isn't your usual brewery. It sits in the middle of a hop field on Loftus Ranches, the family farm in the heart of the Yakima Valley, where the Smiths first planted hops back in 1932. Today, Kevin's dad, Mike and brother Patrick run the farm, while Kevin, his sister Meghann, and brother-in-law (also Kevin) run the brewery. It's a true family affair. Raised on a hop farm, Kevin left to cut his teeth brewing in Seattle before coming home to build something pretty special: a brewery surrounded on all sides by the very hops that go into the beer.Enjoy.
