Episode 16: Bubble Bol

2020-07-2701:22:09

In this first-ever episode on Zoom, Yaroslav and Oliver discuss the best players in the bubble, the playoff picture, and the intriguing possibility of a Lamelo Ball and Thibs link up in New York.
In this episode, Shane and Yaroslav talk about what we can expect from the NBA's scrimmages, what Philly is doing right and wrong, and how leaves and injuries will impact the bubble.
Shane joins the show in this episode, as Giovanni takes another leave of absence. We discuss the snitch hotline in the NBA bubble, players who might or might not make the basketball Hall Of Fame, and we are also visited by Shane's house ghost.
In this episode, Yaroslav talks about Woj's suspension, whether NBA players are being spoiled divas, and explores the world of a one-man show. This is def the most different episode of "The Double Team" yet. Check it out!
This episode sees us get kicked out of multiple rooms, talk about whether fans should say "we" when referring to their favorite sports teams, and finally find our permanent recording space. Also, the Disney bubble is officially underway! Remind us why the Wizards and Nets are still there?
After covering the weekly news around the league, and going over the winners and losers of the league's new setup, an old-timer burst into the card room and demanded that we leave the clubhouse. We continued recording the rest of this episode in the car. Despite the interruption, this turned out to be one of our best episodes yet!
The tenth episode of our podcast is a big milestone. We celebrate with our morning drinks, watermelon, a special guest appearance from our friend Shane McGinnis, and a special gift for Gio. We discuss the complications that the NBA will have moving forward, and possible trades we would love to see happen in the offseason. Happy tenth to us!
In this episode, we talk about some of the news going on in the NBA and we talk about some of the biggest X-Factor players that will have the most impact on the playoffs. Gio has no idea who will go to the NBA Finals from the Eastern Conference.
In this episode, we finally finish the horrendous three-part series that we've been working on for two weeks (favorite current player, favorite legend, and most underrated for each team). We talk about the players who have opted out of the NBA restart so far, the players who have contracted COVID, and general news around the league. This is our longest episode yet, but it definitely does NOT disappoint.
In this episode, we continue going through all the teams to pick our favorite current player, past player, and the player that is most underrated. Giovanni challenges the fact that Jae Crowder is underrated.
Large Man joins us on the podcast for the first time. We also dive deep and talk about our favorite current players, favorite past players, and our most underrated.  A James Harden discussion is also had.
In our best (and heaviest) episode yet, we tackle the issue of Kyrie and friends not wanting to restart the season, how Lebron feels about it, and whether boxers or briefs are the way to go (just to lighten the mood).
In this fun and light episode, we try a couple of new drinks, rank some of the best NBA jerseys, and get excited about the Western Conference playoff picture. We also get off topic a record number of times.
In this episode, we discuss how the NBA's return will happen. How will the NBA prevent injuries? Will there be a lot of COVID cases once the season starts? We also get on a lot of very fun tangents, as always. This week we are joined by Yaroslav's co-worker and friend, Matthew Oliver.
We finally found an indoor place to record by sneaking into an extremely fancy (only male) card room (that also might be haunted). We explore the NBA's proposed return plan, and how the playoffs will play out. Who will win the end of season awards? And why does Daryl Morey think that Kyle Korver is better than Michael Jordan? Gio still has no idea of what our podcast is called.
In this pilot episode, we introduce ourselves and explore the insane minds of Bronsexuals. We also go way back and give credit to players of the earlier generations. And of course, you will also get your first taste of our hate for James Harde.
