Join Jim and Greg for Thursday's 3 Martini Lunch as they react to the horrifying political assassination of Turning Point USA Founder and CEO Charlie Kirk.First, they examine the murder of Kirk at Utah Valley University, breaking down the latest developments in the investigation. They cover details on the weapon used, the ongoing manhunt for the suspect, and evidence suggesting transgender ideology and Antifa extremism may have motivated the attack. They also reflect on the shock and revulsion at hearing the news.Next, they chronicle the execrable coverage of the shooting on MSNBC. From the very beginning, anchor Katy Tur implicitly blamed Utah's gun laws. Commentator Matthew Dowd blamed Kirk's "hate speech" for inciting his own shooting. Dowd was fired before the end of the day. And while many on the left did express outrage over the shooting, way too many lefties on social media brazenly celebrated Kirk's death. Then, they look back on what Kirk accomplished in his 31 years and whether this tragedy will finally push the nation to confront the forces driving such violence or if it signals a darker tipping point ahead. Finally, they reflect on the 24 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Please visit our great sponsors:Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout.  Keep your skin looking and acting younger for longer. Get 15% off OneSkin with the code 3ML at https://www.OneSkin.co/This Fall, save up to 50% on select plants at Fast Growing Trees—plus get an extra 15% off your first purchase with code MARTINI at https://www.Fast-Growing-Trees.com (limited time, terms apply).
Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they tackle a pivotal Senate race twist, Israel striking Hamas leaders in Qatar, Russia violating NATO airspace, and the brutal downward revision of U.S. job growth.First, after noting that the Democrats may end up with a fierce U.S. primary in Maine, Jim and Greg break down the Israeli bombing of Hamas targets in Doha, Qatar. Several of the highest ranking figures survived but it sends a clear message to Hamas. Of course, the usual domestic and international voices are condemning Israel's actions.Next, they react to at least 19 Russian drones entering Polish airspace. Three of them were shot down, possibly more. This is another example of Putin crossing boundaries to see what the response will be. Jim offers some advice to the U.S. government on a message that he wants to be very loud and very clear. Finally, they shudder as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) revised job growth from April 2024-March 2025 downward by more than 900,000 jobs. The BLS revised the numbers down by more than 800,000 the year before that. Greg wonders whether the monthly jobs reports still provide much value if they are regularly way off base. Jim offers some practical and comical reasons for why the monthly reports need to stay. Please visit our great sponsors:Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout. Find the right support that’s right for you with BetterHelp. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they serve up three disturbing but important martinis. They dig into a Democratic Senate candidate’s shocking post-9/11 comments, the latest grim polling in the New York City mayor’s race, and the sharp cultural divide between pro-Trump and pro-Kamala Gen Z voters.First, they react to reports that Maine Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner wrote in 2002 that we should try to understand the motivations of the 9/11 terrorists because "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." Platner was in high school at the time and subsequently served four overseas deployments as a U.S. Marine. But he is also publicly touting his student activism as part of his campaign. He is also strongly anti-Israel and enthusiastically aligns himself with Bernie Sanders.Next, Jim and Greg recoil at the latest New York Times/Siena College poll showing socialist Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani with a commanding lead in the New York City mayor’s race. While numbers tighten in a hypothetical two-person race, it's not a two-person race. They also wince at Mamdani's recent comments about why he wants government-run grocery stores, when they have a long track record of failure. Finally, they go through the numbers of an NBC News poll, as Gen Z men who voted for President Trump have much different and much more traditional ideas of what constitutes success compared to Gen Z women who voted for Kamala Harris. The differences are especially stark on whether marriage and children are a big part of being successful. Please visit our great sponsors:Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout. Find the right support that’s right for you with BetterHelp. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they spotlight three major media stories—from CBS changing its interview editing policy, to reporters downplaying violent crime for political reasons, to a bizarre demand from a disgraced Boston politician.First, they welcome a new CBS News practice to allow interviews to air unedited on Face the Nation after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ripped CBS for gutting her answers in a recent appearance. Jim and Greg also note that mainstream media editing controversies always seem to benefit the left.Next, they scold Marc Caputo of Axios for fretting about "MAGA influencers drawing repeated attention  to violent attacks to elevate the issue of urban crime — and accuse mainstream media of under-covering shocking cases." It's all connected to the mainstream media's silence over the grisly, unnecessary murder of a female Ukrainian refugee in Charlotte by a guy who had been arrested many times for violent crimes. Is the biggest problem calling attention to the murder...or is it maybe the murder itself? Finally, Jim and Greg are stunned by a former member of the Boston City Council who was sentenced to prison for fraud. It's not even the crimes that surprise them but the member's insistence that media stop talking about her and her crimes because she is an introvert and it hurts her feelings. Please visit our great sponsors:Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout. Find the right support that’s right for you with BetterHelp. Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser taking heat from other Democrats for wanting to continue cooperating with the feds to fight crime, the August job numbers coming in lower than expected, and Joe Biden being more clueless about his own pardons that we previously knew.First, after reacting to Trump urging two candidates to drop out of the New York City mayor's race, they welcome Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser wanting to keep working with federal officials as much as possible to fight crime - even when the current emergency is over. Of course, other Democrats in the city are horrified that Bowser would want to keep the relationship going. So, who do lefties want to stop the most - President Trump or violent criminals?Next, Jim and Greg grimace as the August job numbers come in at 22,000, well below expectations. Will this finally trigger an interest rate cut? How much are the tariffs impacting these numbers? And are the shifts partly due to illegal immigrants losing or leaving jobs while American citizens step in to fill them? Finally, Jim and Greg shake their heads at reports that Biden staffers didn’t know whether to move forward on pardons and commutations in his final year because the president never reviewed the files. Most of the orders were signed with an autopen, revealing Biden was even more disengaged on the issue than previously thought. Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone. Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down CBS reportedly bringing in Bari Weiss to have a huge role, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine not knowing where our most basic rights come from, and reports that President Trump may try to narrow the field in the New York City mayor's race.First, they react to Paramount/CBS reportedly being on the verge of buying The Free Press for $100-$200 million and giving Free Press founder Bari Weiss a major role in news coverage. Weiss is most definitely not a conservative, but hiring a liberal who is not insane passes for somewhat refreshing in the media these days.Next, Sen. Kaine embarrasses himself and the Commonwealth of Virginia by claiming our rights come from the laws and the government and not from our Creator. A much more famous Virginian would beg to differ. And Jim has some other helpful tips for Sen. Kaine as well. Finally, they react to a New York Times report suggesting Trump administration officials may offer jobs to Curtis Sliwa and Mayor Eric Adams in an attempt to derail Zohran Mamdani in the New York City mayor's race. Jim and Greg don't see either candidate (especially Sliwa) taking such an offer and they don't think it would stop Mamdani either. Jim suggests a counterintuitive strategy if Trump really wants to shake things up.Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dive into how the left muzzled common sense in the transgender debate not long ago, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping’s bizarre quest for immortality, and shocking new polling that shows just how dependent Gen Z is on their parents in the workplace.First, Jim spotlights candid comments from bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell, who admitted he always thought allowing men to compete in women’s sports was absurd but stayed silent out of fear of professional backlash. With cultural winds now shifting, more people feel free to defend common sense, but as last week's Minneapolis shootings showed, the left and media will still do everything possible to protect the trans movement. Jim also points out a major shift in this debate on social media.Next, they examine Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping musing about living well past 100 years. Putin even floated the idea of immortality. Jim and Greg point out the absurdity of that and also dig into why they would want to live forever. Jim also says the bottom line is that neither of these guys is leaving power voluntarily. Finally, they're stunned by new polling numbers of Gen Z employees. Seventy-seven percent say they brought parents to their job interviews. Nearly half say their parents speak with their bosses regularly. And almost 75 say their parents help them do their work. Both Jim and Greg are appalled, and Jim also explains how parents are actually hurting their kids by being that involved with their work. Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect the New York Times trying to confuse voters over whether Zohran Mamdani is a socialist, the online left conspiracy theory that President Trump must be dead, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer setting a special election for a Michigan State Senate seat 18 months after she knew the seat would be vacant.First, they shred the New York Times for arguing that Democratic New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani is not a socialist. He's a "democratic socialist," which supposedly means "the closest Mr. Mamdani gets to socialism is in his belief in treating people more equitably." Jim and Greg go over Mamdani's truly radical track record and what the Times is trying to accomplish with this argument.Next, they take a blowtorch to the stupid lefty online conspiracy that President Trump must be dead since he hasn't been seen in public for a few days. Jim explains why it would be impossible to hide the death of a president and why not seeing him for a few days is actually a good thing. Finally, they rip Gov. Whitmer for taking 10 months to call a special election since she knew a key Michigan State Senate seat would be vacated and eight months since it's been empty. The previous state senator was elected to Congress in November 2024. The general election to replace her is now set for May 2026, meaning the seat will be unoccupied for 18 months since Whitmer first knew she would need to call a special election. Surely, the current 19-18 state senate split in favor of the Dems has nothing to do with the delay. Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone. Join Jim and Greg for the Labor Day 3 Martini Lunch. In this special edition, they unveil opinions that might catch most of our listeners by surprise. From K-12 schools to college life and from covert ops to conducting elections, they have some ideas and positions that are different than what you might expect.First, Jim wants to create an organization that tells you what to do but that no one would listen to. Then Greg, while a huge fan of the school choice movement, sounds the warning on vouchers and details why school choice laws need to focus on making sure that money doesn't ever come with government strings attached.Next, Jim notes how campus living is conducive for forming friendships and wants to apply that to grown ups. Greg explains why he wants to repeal one of our constitutional amendments. Finally, Jim wants the intelligence community to convince the world that the U.S. has an elite, deployable strike team capable of carrying out any sort of mission anywhere in the world at any time. And whether it exists or not, the key is making the rest of the world believe this "dangerous clique" is real so they will behave. Meanwhile, Greg wants to make major changes to how our elections are run. Brace yourself if you like mail-in balloting, dropboxes, or lots of early voting and other current practices. Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone. Join Jim and Greg for a special Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they welcome Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee for Mayor of New York City. They'll discuss the Sliwa agenda, his deeply flawed opponents, and how he plans to win in November.First, Sliwa walks us through his top priorities if he's elected mayor and how he would get things done with a city council that would not be very enthusiastic about his policies.Next, Sliwa takes on his three rivals for the job: Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo, and current Mayor Eric Adams. Sliwa explains why each of them is unworthy of the job and why the city would decline if any of them are elected. Finally, Sliwa tells us how he plans to defy the current polls, expose the failures and terrible plans of his opponents, and motivate a special coalition of voters to help him get elected. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference.  Visithttps://CalderaLab.com/3ML and use code 3ML at checkout for 20% off your first order.Feel the difference of an extraordinary night’s sleep with Boll & Branch—get 15% off plus free shipping on your first set of sheets at https://www.BollandBranch.com/THREEMARTINI (exclusions apply).
Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect the horrific Minnesota shooting of kids at a Catholic church and school on Thursday. They're also glad to see that a Wisconsin judge will not get the charges dropped for helping an illegal alien escape from ICE, and they react to another weak move from Democrat Abigail Spanberger in the Virginia governor's race.First, they walk through the details of the Minneapolis shooting, how prominent Democrats sneered at the idea of praying for victims and their families and immediately called for gun control, and how this is another mass shooting perpetrated by a killer identifying as transgender.Next, they're glad a federal judge rejected the argument that Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan should be immune from prosecution for helping an illegal alien escape from her courthouse. Dugan's lawyers say she should not be charged over doing her official duties. The judge overseeing the case wisely countered that helping someone avoid arrest or being served a warrant is not a duty that ought to win immunity for Dugan. Finally, they shake their heads as Democrat Abigail Spanberger steps on another rake in the Virginia governor's race. Now Spanberger says she will end the cooperation between the Virginia State Police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agreed to by current governor Glenn Youngkin. The news also prompts them to take a closer look at the state of the race and the media's coverage of Spanberger. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference.  Visit https://CalderaLab.com/3ML and use code 3ML at checkout for 20% off your first order.Feel the difference of an extraordinary night’s sleep with Boll & Branch—get 15% off plus free shipping on your first set of sheets at https://www.BollandBranch.com/THREEMARTINI (exclusions apply). This Fall, save up to 50% on select plants at Fast Growing Trees—plus get an extra 15% off your first purchase with code MARTINI at https://www.Fast-Growing-Trees.com (limited time, terms apply).
Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they note Americans overwhelmingly see a crime problem in the U.S. and a majority likes how Trump is dealing with it. They also wince as Trump welcomes 600,000 Chinese college students into the U.S., and roll their eyes at the left's absurd "land acknowledgements."First, they're glad to see that 81 percent of Americans have the common sense to see that crime is a major problem. That includes 68 percent of Democrats. In addition, 53 percent of Americans approve of how President Trump is dealing with crime. This makes the Democrats' assertions that there really isn't a crime problem in our major cities look utterly ridiculous.Next, they cringe as President Trump says he is perfectly fine allowing 600,000 Chinese students study at American colleges and universities this year. Jim and Greg fume about the American students who suffer a result, and they point out what the Chinese government expects from their students when returning from the U.S.Finally, they shake their heads as the DNC national meeting kicked off with a "land acknowledgement," where someone explains which tribal nation had the land before European settlers allegedly took it from them. It's shameless virtue signaling, but is it backfiring for Democrats and could this practice ever have much more serious implications? Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference.  Visithttps://CalderaLab.com/3ML and use code 3ML at checkout for 20% off your first order.Feel the difference of an extraordinary night’s sleep with Boll & Branch—get 15% off plus free shipping on your first set of sheets at https://www.BollandBranch.com/THREEMARTINI (exclusions apply).
Join Jim and Greg for Tuesday's 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into how the Kamala Harris campaign's extravagant spending left the DNC paying her debts, President Trump's efforts to force Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and famed rapper Snoop Dogg getting fed up at LGBT content getting shoved into movies for kids.First, their jaws hit the floor as the New York Times reports that Kamala Harris spent $1.5 billion over a 15-week campaign and DNC had to pay her outstanding debts. There is no silver lining for the Dems from the Harris campaign, and Jim explains why he does not expect her to run in 2028.Next, they dig into the standoff between President Trump and Lisa Cook of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Trump says Cook is fired for falsely claiming two different homes as her primary residence within a couple of weeks. Cook is refusing to leave the Fed. So, this is headed to court and Jim says Trump might not have the legal high ground here. Finally, they react to Snoop Dogg getting mad that a same-sex couple with a baby was included in the new kids' movie Lightyear. It's part of the Toy Story franchise. The rapper and ubiquitous media figure says his young grandson peppered him with questions about how that could happen, and he was unprepared to answer. Snoop Dogg says that content should not be in movies geared for children, so of course many of the left are now denouncing him.
Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they hammer California Gov. Gavin Newsom for his endless Trump-style tweets and failed spin on crime, sound the alarm over President Trump’s push for more deals like the one the government made with Intel, and highlight Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s disturbing campaign rhetoric.First, they rip into Newsom’s tired routine of mimicking Trump on social media and his claim that cities in red state have worse murder rates than California’s major cities. What he leaves out is that those cities have been run by Democrats for decades.Next, they explain why President Trump grabbing 10 percent of Intel for the federal government is a terrible move and a very bad precedent to set. There are much better ways to grow the semiconductor industry in the U.S. Even worse, Trump is vowing to make many more deals like this. Finally, they spotlight Michigan’s Abdul El-Sayed, a far-left Senate hopeful closely aligned with Bernie Sanders and openly hostile to Israel. El-Sayed urges his followers to fight dirty in politics, telling them to “get in the mud and choke them out.”Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference.
Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss a New York court tossing the roughly half-billion dollar penalty imposed on President Trump in his civil trial, Gov. Newsom advancing his aggressive gerrymandering plan through the legislature, and a Virginia Democrat’s racist protest sign targeting Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears.First, they applaud the New York appeals court for throwing out the staggering half-billion-dollar penalty levied against Trump over alleged asset overvaluation. While the civil judgment remains in place, the ruling delivers another humiliating setback for New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron, who pursued the politically charged case.Next, they chronicle California Democrats easily passing Gov. Gavin Newsom's gerrymandering initiative through the lopsided California legislature. It now advances to a November ballot proposal. In addition, after polling originally showed Californians preferring to keep the independent redistricting commission by nearly 30 percentage points, Newsom's plan is now favored by California voters by more than 20 points. But that's coming from Newsom's pollster. Finally, they zero in on the Democrat activist in Virginia who protested GOP gubernatorial nominee Winsome Earle-Sears on Thursday. As Lt. Gov. Sears scolded Northern Virginia school districts for refusing to keep boys out of girls sports or girls private spaces, one lefty held a sign saying, "Hey Winsome, if trans can't share your bathroom, then blacks can't share my water fountain." The activist later insisted it was satire. Of course, the media is not ruining the woman's life. Jim and Greg discuss the appalling double standard in how the the media treat people on the left vs. the right. Please visit our great sponsors:Keep your skin looking and acting younger for longer. Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three martinis while repairs loudly continue on Jim's house. Today, they highlight Bed Bath & Beyond CEO Marcus Lemonis announcing why the company will not open any physical locations in California. They also react to the Trump White House starting its own TikTok account and banking executives revealing that the Obama and Biden administrations pressured them to "debank" businesses, groups, and individuals the administrations didn't like.First, they focus on Lemonis stating very clearly that his company will not open stores in California because the taxes and regulations there are too burdensome and make it far too difficult to make a profit, keep employment stable, and keep prices reasonable. This is another black eye for the disastrous tenure of Gov. Gavin Newsom, who clearly cares far more about his own ambitions than the people he was elected to serve.Next, they groan as the White House creates its own TikTok account. The move is unwise since the app is Chinese spyware. It's also a clear sign that Trump has no intention of enforcing the TikTok ban that became law last year and was upheld unanimously at the U.S. Supreme Court. Finally, they dig into allegations from multiple banking executives that the Obama and Biden administrations aggressively pressured banks to "debank" or deny financial services to businesses like gun manufacturers and other organizations and individuals they didn't like. Jim explains how banks should have the right to refuse business from certain people or businesses but it's chilling for the government to try to force such actions. Please visit our great sponsors:Keep your skin looking and acting younger for longer. Get 15% off OneSkin with the code 3ML at https://www.oneskin.co/Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout. Talk it out, with Betterhelp. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss a big shift in voters from the Democrats to Republicans over the past five years, Andrew Cuomo expecting President Trump to help his campaign for mayor of New York City, and California Democrats preferring Gavin Newsom over Kamala Harris if they both run for president in 2028.First, they dig into a New York Times study reported on by Townhall showing Democrats have lost more than two million voters since 2020 and Republicans have gained 2.4 million. Part of that may reflect the huge dissatisfaction with the Biden years but they also point out that people are just sick of the Democrats trying to dictate every detail of their lives.Next, they scratch their heads at a Politico report saying that Andrew Cuomo is expecting President Trump to help him become mayor of New York City. At a fundraiser in the Hamptons, Cuomo reportedly said he expects Trump and other Republican leaders to urge GOP voters to back Cuomo because Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa cannot win. Jim and Greg doubt Trump has any interest in helping Cuomo and they don't think Sliwa voters would abandon their candidate to help resuscitate the political career of a "slimeball" like Cuomo. Finally, they react to a poll of California Democrats preferring Gov. Gavin Newsom as the party's 2028 presidential nominee by six points over former Vice President Kamala Harris. Neither Jim not Greg would be surprised to see Harris pass on the 2028 campaign, and they also discuss whether Newsom's constant public opposition to the Trump agenda is putting him in good position to win the nomination or whether his baggage as governor will derail his White House ambitions. Please visit our great sponsors:Support your health with Dose Daily.  Save 25% on your first month when you subscribe at https://DoseDaily.co/3ML or enter code 3ML at checkout. Stop putting off those doctors’ appointments and go to https://zocdoc.com/3ML to find and instantly book a top-rated doctor today. Talk it out, with Betterhelp. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch, where it’s all good martinis on the menu. They break down encouraging signs for a possible Russia-Ukraine peace deal, the federalized D.C. police focusing significant attention on the worst neighborhoods, and the Democratic party posting paltry fundraising numbers as its tailspin continues.First, Jim is "elated" as the Monday's meeting in Washington strongly suggests security guarantees for Ukraine will be part of any peace deal. He's also explains why Vladimir Putin might be playing with a weaker hand than most people realize. But will this agreement get done anytime soon?Next, they applaud the federalized D.C. police for targeting the neighborhoods with the most serious crime problems. Nearly half of last week’s arrests took place in Wards 7 and 8, undercutting the left’s narrative that President Trump is only creating a facade of safety around tourist areas. Finally, the Democratic National Committee is still in complete disarray, more than nine months after last year's elections. Fundraising numbers from the end of June show the Republican National Committee with five times the cash on hand as the DNC. And Democrat donors are thoroughly underwhelmed with the party's messaging and leadership. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch as they have fun with some campaign news out of Pennsylvania and then serve up three major political martinis: President Trump’s efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, MSNBC rebranding to MS NOW, and a left-wing columnist calling to scrap the Constitution so progressives can enact more of their agenda. Before the martinis, they react to Republican Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity announcing her run for governor in 2026. The name may be spelled differently, but Jim Geraghty is hilariously bracing to hear his name a lot over the coming year.In the first martini, Jim breaks down the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, weighing both the positive and negative results. They also examine what today’s Washington meeting between Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European leaders could mean for future peace negotiations.Next, they react to MSNBC rebranding to MS NOW. Jim suspects NBC News will be glad to no longer be synonymous with the rage fest on the cable channel once this process is complete. Greg and Jim are both severely underwhelmed by the new name. Finally, they shake their heads as New York Times columnist Ross Douthat interviews Osita Nwanevu, a columnist for The New Republic, who basically wants to scrap the Constitution and start over because we're not enough of a democracy. The guest is especially infuriated over the existence of the U.S. Senate and the Electoral College and wants to pack the U.S. Supreme Court and add a several new states...you know...to save democracy. Stop putting off those doctors’ appointments and go to https://zocdoc.com/3ML to find and instantly book a top-rated doctor today.

Today, it's all good martinis, as they focus on a serious collision of Chinese military vessels as they harassed a ship from the Philippines, California voters making it clear they want no part of California Gov. Gavin Newsom's gerrymandering scheme, and the Department of Homeland Security reporting many illegal aliens have self-deported.First, after commenting on Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov appearing in Alaska wearing a CCCP sweater, they react to reports that two Chinese military ships collided at high speed as they tried to intimidate a much smaller military vessel from the Philippines. Jim says Beijing should use this as a chance to back off its territorial ambitions in the region but probably won't. They also discuss the mood in Taiwan amid recent rumors of a Chinese invasion.Next, they lampoon Gov. Newsom’s bid to troll President Trump and Texas Republicans by proposing a ballot measure to undo California’s constitutional requirement for an independent redistricting commission. But polling shows voters overwhelmingly oppose the scheme. Jim also underscores how brazen it is for Democrats to push such a move in one of the most heavily gerrymandered states in America. Finally, they welcome the DHS report that 1.6 million illegal aliens have voluntarily left the U.S. since Trump became president. This is additional proof that Trump's immigration policies are working. And they also explain how the left and its media allies are taking truly radical approaches to oppose the enforcement of immigration laws. Please visit our great sponsors:Sleep on an award-winning mattress from Brooklyn Bedding. I'm disappointed in today's show. I listen because you guys make me eat my vegetables(think). But making excuses for McCarthy was like having to eat a whole pot of greens beans with no meat. Yuck.

Ford just threw a grenade into a crowd then walked away. Are we really going to pretend that there's any modicum of truth here? Absolutely NOT
