Where can you see the artists Instagram link. And the references they talk about ?
I am floored. this episode gave me so much to think about and further recognize in my practice/career. I've been in this exact spot for a while, regarding the theme of the episode. I knew already that for the last two years I have been exiting the phase of stagnation/recognizing that I needed to find the artistry/style/discretion whatever you prefer to call it-- I've been really working at that and I am glad that I was on the right track according to these guys. However, I have been struggling with finding exercises in how to improve my work for hiring without retreading and repeating what I already know and have already done getting to that point in learning to draw/paint. Lots of good soul searching questions and advice given here but....This nine grid self-audit exercise alone is blowing my mind. This grid is the first concrete helpful suggestion that I've heard of IN YEARS! I cannot wait to get started on this!
that was so helpful guys.thanks alot. espacially this brief note after listening podcast.
Great topic, amazing points... thank you so much 💓
This really was my first episode! That beginning was pretty wierd but hilarious!
Whenever I buy a book I tend to remove the covers. When I got Little Bot and Sparrow, and removed the cover, I was excited to see the blueprint art work on the hard copy. It was like finding an Easter Egg!!! Not too many artist do this, and it made the book more special!!! It was nice to hear about the book cover in this episode and I'm thankful they let you keep it in, in some capacity!
16/39 episodes and I'm already sad I'll catch up some day. Amazing stuff you guys, hope we get some bonus or weekly episodes.
Given Lee's multiple personas, have you considered updating the name of the podcast to 4 Point Perspective!? Keep up the great work!!!
literally looked up figure painting on Google images, saw 2 with that exact description haha
let the cat speak!
I love your podcast but man that cat is distracting
All I can say is wow! Great job Will, Jake, and Lee. I absolutely love listening to these podcasts. I really believe you guys are offering quality content and vital information. I've been huge fans of JP and Will for quite some time and geeked out when I found you both were doing a podcast together. As for Lee, you have totally won me over as well. I found I was already following you on Instagram and it was awesome to match your work to the bits I've been learning from/about you. All in all, I'm very excited for the opportunity to glean the wisdom and experience you gentlemen are offering and will definitely be recommending your podcast. Good luck, you guys.
great episode, guys. It's certainly going to help me as an artist and a teacher.
