The 1999 Women's World Cup transformed Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, and the National Team into celebrities overnight. They used their newfound fame to launch the world's first women's professional soccer league: WUSA, the Women's United Soccer Association. But mismanagement and tension with the U.S. Soccer Federation put the league's future in jeopardy. This is the story about how the stars of the '99 World Cup Team built a league from scratch and fought to keep it alive.
From our friends at FiveThirtyEight, an episode of their series Ahead Of Their Time on how Charles Reep transformed English football. Reported by Joe Sykes. Hosted by Jody Avirgan. A bonus episode from ESPN's Dunkumentaries series -- an enterprising reporter sets out to find video evidence of the first dunk in women's college basketball (1984). Possible the worst episode ever. English football didn't suffer because of a long ball tatic the biggest problem was the ban on English clubs in European competition

Great job by some smart people to get baseball's dumbest fanbase to invest money in promotional material for The Yankees... For every "Yankees Suck" shirt that was sold to a Red Sox fan, *5* Japanese, Dominican, & British people went to their local sports store (Which doesn't sell "Yankees Suck" shirts) and bought Yankees hats or Jeter jerseys instead. Even bad free promotion is still free promotion and you can bet your last dollar that The Yankees profited more from those shirts coming out than Boston did. Baseball is a Global sport now, and what has/is/always will be the #1 selling team merchandise? The New York Yankees. How many kids overseas do you see wearing "Yankees Suck" shirts compared to wearing Yankees hats & other merchandise??? So, as a Yankees fan, thanks Boston fans for buying those ugly rag shirts.

This is very hard to listen to. I cannot believe how naive these people are. They worshipped a false god. How sickening.

Tanya Harding is a piece of shit. She ruined Nancy's career and still continues to make a living off of being a piece of shit. I hope someone knocks her out someday and breaks her knee caps as she begs for help. Coward. Waste of oxygen.
