There is no one way to process all that we have been experiencing this year, individually and globally. Everyone is responding in their own way or finding ways to distract themselves from the realities of the present moment. In order to begin to process/ heal, we must first acknowledge those feelings. Many ppl are grieving the loss of so much. Grieving those they have lost, mourning for the continuous acts of racial injustice, grieving how things “should have gone this year”, processing the loss of finances/stable income etc. there’s just so much. We invited Mel to join us again this season to Shine the Light on Transcending Grief/Loss. The world is in need of Collective/Community HealingCare, and though we may not be able to connect with one another in the ways we would prefer we can support each other through breath and intentional thoughts. Our prayer is that by finding stillness, connecting to your breath and truthfully acknowledging your feelings you are remind that -you are not alone, it is safe to acknowledge/process your feelings and that you are supported as you continue on your journey of Healing. From the the moment we enter this world we are receiving information to help us grow into ourselves. In schools, media, books, our friendships, family— so many offerings. It takes strength to be able to discern what to take with you as you journey, and what to leave behind with grace. In order to release the of the need of approval/validation from others we need to seek Divine Clarity for our selves . We get to choose what our lives reflect, and we need clarity to know which choice(s) is/are best in the moment. In stillness we are able to quiet the sounds and embrace clarity from the Divine Universe. Clarity, wisdom, and insight about what’s best for ourselves and our life’s purpose. I hope these Clarity Affirmations are like a lighthouse in the midst of darkness as you journey onward. Have a blessed week! When many of us started the year we had no idea it would unfold this way. As things continue to be revealed in 2020 & I keep hearing ppl say “I can’t want to get back to normal already” 😳To continue wishing for experiences of the past robs us from the present moment and may sometimes creates a form of mental resistance. To help those thoughts and yearning for comforts of the past, this week we will Shine the Light on thoughts of ‘Surrender and Release’ 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫 “Surrender is like a fish finding the current and going with it” M. Nepo Meditating on thoughts of Surrender & Release helps us to acknowledge change, acknowledge the unfamiliar & find the flow/rhythm within the present moment to continue on in purpose. 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡Have a Great week! And with each inhale and each exhale you take, surrender what is to the divine, let go of the past, and have faith for your bright future!

Midnight Mindfulness Series: This week we took a poll on our IG Page (@the.light.podcast) asking the question “Which meditation would bring a bit more L💡ght to your world?” Very close call but it seems the community is in need of intentional reminders of GRATITUDE this week and I couldn’t agree more! Gratitude has the ability to change our perspective and creates space for limitless abundance in our lives just by shifting our thought! With continuous movement and action Many people during this season are experiencing feeling of exhaustion or “burn out” mentally, physically emotionally etc. In previous weeks we shed light on the needs for peaceful rest and restoration however ever this week I wanted to remind you of the the inner strength and divine light that is deep within your being . It is my prayer that these affirmations of Inner Strength will help you continue on your journey when feelings of burn out/exhaustion arise, to know that you can connect to the divine Inner strength deep within yourself and breathe knowing that “nothing can dim the light that shines from within” -Maya Angelou 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡 You are a, Powerful Divine Force.
Know that you are more than capable of standing strong through any adversity that may arise.
Every day you have breath in your body is a blessing and an opportunity to grow to your highest possibilities.
With each inhale your inner power& courage grows and With each exhale you release any and all lingering doubt.
As you journey continue to align your thoughts and action with your divine purpose to create the life that is meant for you.

There’s so much energy flowing all around us in the world right now and if we don’t find time to be still and process some of those ever flowing thoughts, they can come right into our subconscious as we sleep we end up waking up tired or with less energy than expected so during this time of Midnight Mindfulness I’m going to offer you some affirmations for Peaceful Rest this week!! Welcome to your Sacred Sunday Meditation on The L💡ght Podcast for spiritual wellness. To week I shared a personal connection/approach to my wellness practice with you called Healing through Breath&Body! HBB follows the mantra “We free the body to free the breath. We free the breath to liberate the mind” So, the first half of this podcast I offer guidance through a short gentle and restorative seated yoga flow/ stretch to free the body of tension allowing the breath to flow. Then we will smoothly transition to out breath and intentional thought meditation. 💡💡💡Abundance is in us and all around us if we become keenly aware of its presence. “If we are constantly looking back we cannot be present......” Hello and welcome ✨ As things continue to swiftly change in the world around us, past memories and experiences may begin to arise. Investing energy in past memories, even those of comfort, allows little opportunity for us to live fully in our current moment. ✨✨Through this Sacred Memory Meditation we will intentionally acknowledge the past and embrace the lessons it taught us. We will offer gratitude for the gift of this present moment, and if ready, release the attachment to the past. Coming off a week filled with immense and INTENSE energy all over the world-it’s important for us to be intentionally about carving out moments of stillness to process. To refill. To restore ourselves. Remembering that we cannot pour/give from empty vessels. 💡💡💡💡💡💡 This episode I was able to share breath with an organization that is near to my heart, the Juilliard Black Student Union. This collective of black student artists are standing up for structural change within their educational institution and for global policy change at the same d*amn time & they needed a refill! We all do! It is my hope that anyone who is able listens to this Guided meditation will find a pocket of peace in the midst of the storm. There’s so much going on but there’s time, there must be time, to restore and strengthen ourselves for the journey ahead. You can’t give what you don’t have - rest and restore- then give more! Restoration is apart of this Revolution! ✊🏾
