LifeWise Academy is on a mission to reach school children with the gospel—during school hours!  When LifeWise launched in 2018, the initial goal was to serve 25 schools by 2025, but it surpassed that long ago. By the start of this year, LifeWise had set up chapters in more than 300 schools in a dozen states, teaching 35,000 public school students weekly Bible lessons that are usually scheduled to coincide with lunch or non core courses such as library, art or gym class. Our kids need us to step up to the plate and give them a firm foundation of identity so they will walk firmly in who Christ has created them to be. The statistics on kids raised by Christian parents falling away from the church are disheartening. I’m joined today by Lee Ann Mancini and we’re talking about the urgency of raising our children to follow Christ. How did we get to this point, and more importantly, what do we need to be doing differently? Stick around for Happy Hour and we're going to continue talking about her book, Raising Kids to Follow Christ and take a little bit of a dive into some practical advice for parents and other caregivers as they start to help build the spiritual foundation for their children. Today is Mailbox Monday and it is the day of the week where I get to answer listener questions. I love these days! We've got some tough ones today. We're going to wade into some theologically deep water, such as why does God allow suffering, particularly as it relates to a little child? And there's a mom who wrote in to me to say that she's struggling with the emotion of shame as it relates to the gifts that God has given her. Should she stay home with her children? Should she go to work? Is she stewarding the gifts that God has given her? My good friend Pastor Sam Sanden is here with me today and we are talking about cancel culture within the church and the effect it has on individuals and ministries, while underscoring the crucial role of grace, forgiveness, and restoration. We’re also discussing the significance of actively participating in culture and leveraging our influence for the glory of God, and we can not miss the opportunity to pray for our leaders and support their ministries. If you stick around for Happy Hour, Sam and I are talking about challenges associated with ministry and Sam passionately shares his commitment to being a beacon of salt and light in the public sphere, urging fellow Christians to exercise their right to vote and even consider running for office. In South Dakota we don't have to mask at Dr's even in hospitals and I'm so thankful that my preschool and toddler son have never had to mask. Love your show!

Thank you for speaking out for women facing an unplanned pregnancy and the baby. I grew up in a Christian culture that shunned those women and babies and through that caused much hurt . God has a plan for those mothers and babies. Shaming and shunning does not reflect Christ.

I just want to thank you Heidi for being a clear Christian voice that speaks with courage. We are to speak the truth in season and out of season. Your podcasts give me hope that were not alone in all this diabolic disorientation that world is submerged in at this time. The media has a tendency to make the 1 and 2% look like the majority. Its time for not just prayer but action. Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever.

I do question covid being manufactured against Trump. Since its effected Everywhere, its ruined Many economies, not just the US. I'm in Canada and our prime Minister Loves China yet it came to our country too. I could be convinced it was to disrupt the western world, test out our resolve and strength. we've Totally failed and shown our weak, privileged, pathetic true selves. We kind of deserve whatever we get after this. :/

Question: In one of your more recent episodes you mentioned the song “So will I” by Hillsong United. Admittedly, it’s a wonderful song, but both Hillsong and Bethel openly proclaim and preach a different Jesus and a different gospel. Do you still promote their worship songs knowing that their music is a big part of recruiting people into their false doctrine? I very much appreciate your opinion, so I would love to know your thoughts. God bless.

Mars Hill is not a bible believing church, so when the listener wrote in that a former pastor's wife now buys into this "Progressive Christianity," I'm not in the least bit surprised. This "church" is where Rob Bell began his career blaspheming God's word.

Thank you for this. I have major nerve and back issues and hip issues etc etc. I’ve been told by drs and even recently my husband to meditate and do yoga. Even my mental health counselor told me too. I’ve said no, it’s demonic and opens you up to demon spirit possession. I’ve seen the Christian version and I’m like how can that be? Now I know it can’t be. I’m looking forward to the next session. I found you on answer for genesis this week and I’m glad I did. I’m truly enjoying your podcast. You lead to Jesus and scripture so far and that’s what we should be doing.

This is by far my favorite podcast and believe me...I listen to MANY. EVERY friend I've told about it also loves it. Heidi is a blessing in this frustrating world and she ALWAYS points back to Christ and Scripture. No watered down encouragement here which is what I love.
