Imagine lying in hospital, heavily pregnant (stay with me, fellas...think about yourself in this situation without the pregnant bit) and you have paralysis creeping up your legs. It starts in your feet, and each hour, doctors are coming in and doing tests, and drawing new lines on your legs as the paralysis is going higher and higher up your body. And then, after your baby is born, your pelvis is so damaged, and you're in so much pain, you are told that you won't be able to walk for 3 months. And you live in a 2-story house with a 1-year-old and a baby, and your bedroom is upstairs, with the bathroom downstairs. I can't imagine how difficult this would be to face... but this is what Saskia and her family faced. You will be amazed at Saskia and her Mum, Briar's, recounting of this story and what God does. I was in Vancouver, Canada recently, at our church's Summer camp.  At the camp, there were two ladies, from opposite sides of the world, who, when they got talking, realised that their lives, before coming to know God, were almost identical. Dysfunctional family life from a very young age, drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancies - the list of similarities is incredible. AND the same God, the same Holy Spirit, that came into their lives changed them miraculously. An amazing, heartfelt, inspiring story. I met with Sharon recently at the Vancouver, Canada, church summer camp. We got talking about the miraculous healings that she's had in her life, how she came to know the real God after emigrating to Canada from the Philippines, how God healed her and protected her from an incurable heart condition, tumours and the miraculous birth of her children. Laurie & Debbie recount a serious crash Laurie had on his motorbike after having a stroke, which saw him in intensive care with multiple injuries, including a significant brain injury. Jan and Steve share their story about Jan's healing from OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). Now, I'm sure you've used the term OCD in your conversations before - I'm a person who likes neatness and order, and I've often joked about having OCD. After listening to Jan and Steve's story, I won't be joking anymore. It's a terribly debilitating disorder, and their story is so moving...you might shed a tear as you listen (I did). MJ shares with us his story of how he grew up in South Africa, in the Apartheid era, before becoming an SAS soldier.  He was just lost in life and decided to become a Mercenary in the French Foreign Legion.  But, before he went, he was led to spend some time in Australia where he was told how God could change his life. And change it He did. God took away MJ's heavy addiction to smoking, changed his thinking about the racial prejudice that was part of his upbringing, and provided him with a family like no other. Womaniser, Smoker, Drinker....you can't see in Pr Akuila today the man he once was. Why?  God changed him.  Miraculously. He shares with us how when he was Spirit-filled and Baptised his life changed - not because of his action, but through God's Spirit.  He had a new found desire to follow Christ, to understand the gospel, and to learn from the elders of his Church.
