Emotional immaturity is a person’s inability to regulate their emotions in an age-appropriate way. Emotionally immature people may overreact to situations or have trouble controlling their emotions. While emotional immaturity can negatively affect relationships, research has shown that it can also negatively impact a person’s professional development and ability to learn new skills. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23:6). When the Lord is your shepherd, His love surrounds you now and forever. And the love of the Good Shepherd is: A love that pursued, and a love that welcomes.
