Especially around Christmas time, we tend to have a picture in our minds of a gentle Jesus, meek and mild and loving. The book of Revelation depicts a different side of our Lord and savior.In chapters 6-19 we learn about the wrath of the lamb. Today on Light on the Hill seal number 5 is about to be opened, and we get a glimpse of the suffering that will come as a result of totalitarianism! God will judge all of it and bring His vengeance. The whole world will seek to escape it but they will be unable to hide from what God has in store for them. All of this should serve as a wake up call, and encourage us to get right with the Lord today, to avoid this coming judgment.

We’ll be learning about the first four seal judgments, what is commonly referred to as the horseman of the Apocalypse. It’s during this time that the final antichrist will come onto the scene, and as we’ll learn today he is very much a totalitarian ruler! He’s the rider of the white horse.

The first four seals of the book of Revelation are very telling. It gives us insight into the destructive effects of totalitarian rule and it even warns us of what happens when the Antichrist is allowed to walk completely unchecked. What we learn today will be eye opening and powerful.
