Description

The Outlandish Voice is a podcast about Outlanders. About life abroad, integration, lessons learned as an outlander, life experiences, Mental health, illness, balance and awareness. Being an outlander comes with it gains and losses. And sometimes being an outlander means that things around you and within you will often be identified with not so many useful artifacts. Negative and shallow narratives told by others and not outlanders. Your race and the reasons behind your transition could be essential on how you navigate through life abroad.

Today’s episode is the money psyche narrowed towards people living or working abroad. It’s not a widely spoken topic, not in the public eye, and I don’t think the reasons are because people are shy about it. I think the reasons are that it touches on key people in our lives. family, friends. There are so many comic memes about this topic, you know, just to make it look funny, but the truth is we all know how serious it is. A few weeks ago, I saw a post on Facebook about a lady living in Austria that threw herself before a train due to money pressure from her immediate family. I don’t know how real that post is if we consider our world today, but you and I know how real that is. People have been milked dry, suffered a mental breakdown, and committed suicide due to money pressure from our most precious. So here is my say. Recognizing, Accepting, and Acknowledging my choices was vital in solving my puzzle. I became friends with distance. But most importantly, my journey has allowed me to rediscover myself again; it has taught me to be gentle with myself, allowed me to feel evocative when I need too. And more so, I know what it is like to experience defeat and victory all at once. Follow me on Instagram @theoutlandishvoice @tmack.life
You would probably attribute mental distress to a traumatic experience or an Existential crisis but not in my case. Find out how I went from being stressed to being depressed in the first two years of my stay in Denmark. I was desolate, unhappy and was ready to quit. Until I woke up to wake up. I hope to inspire you to find your voice, find your missing puzzle. Find yourself again. Follow me on Instagram @theoutlandishvoice @tmack.life 🌸
Crises and challenges are meant to build you for a greater purpose. Here is what my crises taught me! I'm not here because I'm perfect; I'm here because I have had to review my past. Things I did, ways I lived, something I said because I lacked knowledge and awareness. I have had to learn, I'm still learning, and I'm not afraid to be taught. What is your summon? @Theoutlandishvoice 🌸❤️
My heart sinks when I think about my fellow outlanders that may fall in the same situation as I did, the crises that outlanders have to deal with just on a day to day basis is in its self alarming in all aspects. When you are going through loss, you can quickly lose yourself, become ambivalent because...life is concise. It's brief but comprehensive. Listen to my story. And If not, remember not to take life for granted because trust you me, you do! Peace and love ❤️ life.tmack@gmail.com @theoutlandishvoice
Let’s talk about crises and our reaction to other people’s ways of expressing pain. Why do you comment as you do? Why do you react as you do? This one got me doing some soul searching. Follow us on Instagram: @theoutlandishvoice 🌸❤️
