Hey Traders in this Forex Faction podcast I go over my month of trading in January and how I gave myself an objective grade. Understanding that mistakes will always happen in trading no matter how perfect we want to trade out Forex strategy. This week I made a few mistakes that made a C trader. So even though overall I was net positive ROI on the month that was not as important as giving myself a good trade for executing my plan perfectly. My mentor always told me mistakes will happen and its your job as a trader to improve next month and then the month after that. Mistakes will happen and now next month it is my job as a trader to make One less mistake then this month. Improvement slowly over time.

Hey Traders in this podcast I am talking about how hard it can be to be and stay disciplined in trading. This is even if you have a plan and the frustrations that can sometimes arise. I went over an example that happened to me this morning on a trade I barely missed entries on which would have been a winner but how it was a GOOD Non Trade. The reason for this is because it was not apart of my plan. Being a disciplined trader will test you but we do it for a reason. Looking closer at today's example I took solace in knowing that this trade as frustrating as it may have been did not give me a valid entry so we move on the next one. Hopefully you guys get value out of this Forex Podcast I put out weekly.

Hey Traders in this podcast I am going to go over some idea of what to filter when backtesting Harmonic Patterns. This is just meant to give you ideas of what you may want to look at checking and spark that idea in your mind. When it comes to trading you have to find that right balance of what is important to you. This podcast is meant to show you what I tested and why to get your mind going on what you may want to filter and track in your backtesting.

Hey traders in this weeks Forex podcast I am going to go over a common mistake a lot of newer Forex Traders make when first starting in having the belief that in order to make more money you need to trade MORE. Yes frequency is important in Trading Forex but it is not everything. We need to be mindful in understanding that not all setups are made equal and some are a higher quality then others. This was made evident to me when I finished backtesting USDJPY and realized I could cut out half my trades and still be just as profitable in my Forex Trading over a 12 year sample. I talk a bit more about this in this weeks podcast.

Hey traders in this weeks Forex podcast I am talking about some of the frustrations that can arise with setting rules in your Forex Trading. This can occur because in trading Forex or trading in general we are applying rules to a market that doesn't have to listen or abide by our rules. Our best option at that point is to be consistent with the rules we do set and understand that not everything will work perfectly in to those rules in the market.

What sparked this podcast was a Q&A from my mentor Akil Stokes that watched today in which he said something that really stuck in my head. As traders we focus so much on the Forex strategy in the beginning when we begin to learn Forex Trading. We don't focus on what is actually more important and what all your profits are based off of and that is the Forex Trader. There are many Forex Trading Strategies out there for traders to learn but instead we should be focusing on learning the SKILL of trading because market condition change over time. When this happens whether you are profitable in the future will be dependent on the Traders skill and not the strategy.

In this podcast I wanted to go over having the mindset when it comes to you Forex Backtesting. What I mean by this is when backtesting our strategies we should actively and purposefully looking for losers and trying to prove our strategies wrong. Why we do this in our Backtesting Forex is because if we can purposely try to show something is not profitable and at the end our results show it is then that means you have truly found a strategy you can input in your Forex Trading. I delve deeper into this in the podcast.

In this podcast I wanted to go over One Forex Trading Skill that I think is important for us to continuously be working on that I found to be very important to me from going live this past year. Too often traders focus on Forex Trading Strategies instead of what is really important and that is our skills of reading price and making good PREDICTIONS. Making good predictions is something that is often overlooked but if I think for beginners and even experienced traders its something we should continuously be trying to improve.

In this podcast I am continuing off of the subject we spoke about last week on Backtesting in Forex. In this podcast we are delving deeper into what do you track in Forex Backtesting and how that takes us into Strategy development mode. Although this type of backtesting works across all markets. It is this strategy development and tracking our filters which finally leads us to building our own personal Forex Strategy or Strategies to implement in our Live Forex Trading.

In this podcast I am discussing an important topic which I love to talk about and that is backtesting a trading strategy. Generally once we get past the point of understanding how to backtest a trading strategy we ask ourselves the next question.... How many trades should I backtest in Forex? (or any other market). In this podcast I go over my opinion on how many trades you should log when backtesting Forex but also why its hard to give a cookie cutter answer to this question because not all Forex traders are the same.

In this podcast I go over some of the importance of consistency not only in trading but in life in general. Being consistent is one of the most important things I have learned to be and do in my trading journey. It has shaped me to the Forex trader I am today. Its something that is not shared as important when we begin to learn to trade but its more important than many know.

In this podcast I go over some of the different ways to start learning how to trade Forex or trade in general. From my past experience there are three main ways to start your learning and it is Videos (via YouTube & Webinars), Books, and Mentor-ships. Each has their pros and cons and I kind wanted to touch on this in this podcast.

In this podcast I go my opinion on if there is a "Best" Trading Indicator out there in trading and technical analysis. I think the problem is as new traders we are on an endless search for that magic indicator or magic strategy that we get away from whats most important.... that is the SKILL of reading price.

In this podcast I go my opinion on if you need a trading mentor or not. I go over the pros vs cons of having a trading mentor and the trading for having and not having a trading mentor. There are so many scammers out there it makes people hesitant to find a mentor but there are truly very good trading mentor out there but you have to find the right fit with your personality and that of the mentor.

Hey everyone! Its been a slow week for me so far this past week and what can I say... Trading has been boring. Boring in a great way though because the old me would have been forcing trades but the older wiser me knows that there are no trades in my plan therefore I don't trade. So when times like this come around I truly see how learning to trade has changed me with making me patient and learning a lot about myself in developing other skills in my life. In this episode I go over this topic.

Hey everyone! Its a holiday weekend here in the states and I go over the fact that it is okay to just take a day off. I am unsure how many people out there are like myself because I feel almost a stress when I am not working, testing, charting, or just spending time doing something. I feel like it was time wasted. I am slowly realizing and coming to terms that it is okay to take a day off for my mental health and I will come back rejuvenated. In this episode I go over this topic.
