Friends of the Rosary:
Sin demands reparation. It's a part of our atonement to God. Reparation can come in the form of penance and sacrifices. It is a ransom for our personal and collective sins, in imitation of the Lamb of God who gave his life on the Cross for us.
Jesus Christ defeated death and sin through sacrifice and service to our fellow men. He emptied himself to restore the order of divine creation.
Sins committed against the most sacred heart of Jesus can be repaired through intense prayer, penance, and charity, as we learn during Lent.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!

[Comment: Divine Will]
Friends of the Rosary:
When we trust in Jesus and Mary, we accept the Divine Will — which is unfathomable and far beyond our comprehension. No matter how adverse and painful it looks, the Divine Will works for the benefit of our soul. It might take us years to understand the meaning of events.
By the grace of the faith, we embrace peacefully trials and suffering experiences. We put ourselves at the foot of the Cross and look at the agonizing Jesus Christ. We invoke his Holy Mother and conclude that our struggle on Earth is out of our control.
Jesus will provide at the right time. It means that we don’t put into test the Lord nor trade or demand any favor.
We take refuge in the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Sts. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael Pray for Us!

Friends of the Rosary,Today’s Gospel (St. Matthew 4:12-23) presents Christ Jesus as the Light, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy by dispelling the darkness of sin and freeing man from the obscurity in which he is enclosed. The light expresses God’s involvement in human history as He manifests Himself as ‘The Light’ that disperses the darkness. In God’s light, everything assumes a new significance, bringing abundant joy and great rejoicing. The light is God’s initiative, taking action towards a wounded humanity and performing His merciful love. This dynamic is expressed through Christ Jesus' call of the first Apostles. He invited them to abandon the nets in a sudden interruption in their lives and trust themselves totally to the Lord for a new ‘catch’, a new definitive horizon. He chooses them with an unequivocal call, ‘Follow Me’.His call is a turning point in our lives. At the Last Supper, the end of His earthly life, Jesus reminds His disciples, "you did not choose me, no, I chose you." (Jn 15:16).We ask the Lord for the gift of a true conversion of our hearts, enabling us to receive Christ as the only Light to follow.Christ is the only one who dispels the darkness within and around us.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, January 24, is the feast day of Francis of Sales, a sixteenth-century French saint. As a young man, he became profoundly disturbed when contemplating the possibility of his soul spending eternity in hell. After weeks of barely eating and sleeping, he finally prayed before a miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, entrusting his life entirely to God’s merciful love. This experience formed the basis of his pastoral work as a bishop in post-Reformation Geneva and inspired his influential writings. His masterly Treatise on the Love of God influenced Saint Thérèse of Lisieux and Saint John Bosco. His Introduction to the Devout Life is a classic guide to holiness for laypeople.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,All human beings are created in the image and likeness of God. He is the model on which all human beings are created. He looked upon himself and wished that other beings would share in His own happiness. That's why the greatest gift is life. It is better to be alive than never to have been in existence.Through Divine Revelation and natural intelligence, we become aware of the value of the gift of life. This leads to protecting the life of the unborn and those women who might feel tempted or forced to commit abortion, knowing the devastating consequences they might suffer. We participate in the greatness of our Creator by giving thanks for the gift of life.Today, in Washington, DC, the faithful gather for the March for Life, a joyful celebration of thanksgiving.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, January 22, in all the dioceses of the U.S., the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children is celebrated. We pray for the complete legal restoration of the right to life. Abortion is a sinful violation of the dignity of the human person.During the liturgical celebration of Mass, we give thanks to God for the gift of human life.Through the mystery of the incarnation, Christ Jesus confirmed the dignity of the body and the soul which constitute the human being, wrote Pope Benedict XVI.“It is only in the mystery of the incarnate Word that the mystery of man truly becomes clear.” (Gaudium et Spes).God created man in his image and likeness, and by becoming one of us, made it possible for us to become “sons of the Father,” and “sharers in the divine nature.”The dignity of each creature is elevated into a broader horizon of life. It’s the boundless and incomprehensible love of God for the human being.“Human life is a manifestation of God in the world, a sign of his presence, a trace of his glory,” writes Benedict XVI.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, January 21, the faithful celebrate the feast of St. Agnes, one of the most notorious martyrs of ancient Rome, along with St. Cecilia. She was a young virgin martyred under the Roman emperor Diocletian around the year 304. Devotion to her is of ancient standing, and two churches in Rome commemorate her witness. Agnes is invoked in the canon of the Mass, in the Eucharistic Prayer I.The name of "Agnes" means "lamb-life." The lamb is the symbol of the innocence of the virgin-martyr.Agnes, a girl of twelve, freely died for Christ. When she was commanded to offer incense to false Gods, she raised her hand and made the Sign of the Cross. And when the son of the Roman prefect offered to marry her, she replied:"The one to whom I am betrothed is Christ Whom the angels serve. For Him alone I keep my troth, to Him I surrender with all my heart."Today, we also celebrate the feast of Our Lady of High Grace, in Spanish la Virgen Maria de la Altagracia. The image of Our Lady of Altagracia was crowned twice: in 1922 by Pope Pius XI, and in 1979 by Pope John Paul II, who, during his visit to Santo Domingo, personally crowned the image with a golden silver tiara, his personal gift to the Virgin, the first evangelizer of the Americas.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,We pray today's Rosary — the Sorrowful Mysteries — on the road.In today's main reading of the Gospel (Mark 2:23–28), Christ Jesus says:"The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. That is why the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath."Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus acknowledges that he is “lord even of the sabbath.”Bishop Barron explains this mystery, "Christians should enter the public arena boldly and confidently, for we are not announcing a private or personal spirituality but rather declaring a new King under whose lordship everything must fall. If Jesus is truly Lord, then government, business, family life, the arts, sexuality, and entertainment all come properly under his headship."Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, as on every third Monday of January each year, is the federal holiday of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, officially, the Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.King was an American civil rights activist, a Baptist minister, and a Black church leader who led the movement against racial discrimination in federal and state law and civil society. from 1955 until his assassination in 1968.His activism led to several groundbreaking legislative reforms in the United States.Through his nonviolent fight for racial and economic justice, he embodied principles like human dignity, solidarity, and love for the marginalized, leading many Catholic leaders to praise him, as these ideas deeply resonated with Catholic Social Teaching (CST)Cardinal Wilton Gregory noted that King, while not Catholic, lived Catholic social justice morality in an extraordinary fashion," following the Gospel's call to love one another. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) expressed gratitude for his solidarity and nonviolence.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today's Sunday main reading (John 1:29-34), our Gospel, John the Baptist sees Jesus approaching and says, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world."John the Baptist immediately recognizes that Christ is the one the world has been waiting for. This leads John to testify that he is the Son of God.The same grace is given to us. And therefore, we become a light to the nations, our communities, friends, and families.Through us, God’s salvation reaches to the ends of the earth. Friends of the Rosary,Today, we celebrate the Memorial of St. Anthony, Abbot (251-356), the Father of the Monks, who retired to the desert at about the age of eighteen in order to live in perfect solitude and prayer. This 3rd-century saint exercised a profound influence upon succeeding generations.Born in Middle Egypt (about 250) to wealthy parents, he sold his possessions and gave his inheritance to the poor after hearing this passage in mass that we read today in Matthew 19:16-26.Jesus said,"If you wish to be perfect, go,sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."The saint suffered repeatedly from diabolical attacks, but these made him more steadfast in virtue. He said to his disciples, "Believe me; the devil fears the vigils of pious souls, and their fastings, their voluntary poverty, their loving compassion, their humility, but most of all their ardent love of Christ our Lord.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In the Old Testament, the Jewish people were asking, "Why has the Lord permitted us to be defeated?"In the New Testament, in yesterday's reading (Mark 1:40-45), the leper asked himself the same question. But he recognized the authority of the Lord when he begged:“If you wish, you can make me clean."Moved with pity, Jesus said to him,“I do will it. Be made clean.”The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean. But if he had not been “defeated” by this disease, he never would have attracted the attention and the pity of Jesus. Our struggle disposes us to receive God’s mercy!Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Saints are like anyone else, despite how we consider them as spiritual heroes preserved from our day-to-day activities. They struggled with the same things we do, and loved the same things we do. They are not simply models to be admired. There are saints in ordinary life, in art and poetry, in motherhood, psychology, and even politics. There is a huge diversity. Each one uniquely reflects some aspect of the divine reality. The only difference is that they were smart enough to understand that what finally matters is having a holy life by being the person that God wants us to be.Above all, the saints are friends of God.And we can find a saint who is like every one of us.Léon Bloy wrote, "There is only one sadness, and that is not to be saints."Let's keep in mind that only people in heaven will be saints.Bishop Barron wrote about the diversity of saints:"There is Thomas Aquinas, the towering intellectual, and there is the Curé d'Ars, who barely made it through the seminary. There is Vincent de Paul, a saint in the city, and there is Antony, who found sanctity in the harshness and loneliness of the desert. There is Bernard, kneeling on the hard stones of Clairvaux in penance for sins, and there is Hildegard of Bingen, singing and throwing flowers, madly in love with God. There is Peter, the hard-nosed and no-nonsense fisherman, and there is Edith Stein, secretary to Edmund Husserl and colleague to Martin Heidegger, one of the most famous philosophers of the twentieth century. There is Joan of Arc leading armies, and there is Francis of Assisi channeling peace. There is the irascible Jerome and the almost too sweet Thérèse of Lisieux. There is Catherine of Siena, who stood up to popes, and Celestine V, who only reluctantly became pope. There is the grave and serious Bruno, and there is Philip Neri, whose spirituality was based on laughter."Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today's reading (Mark 1:29-39), we see how people from Galilee brought to Jesus those who were ill or possessed by demons. His physical healing points to his spiritual healing. The Scripture says, "He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and he drove out many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew him."During His public ministry, Christ the Lord drove out many unclean spirits. Today, through the presence of the Catholic Church and the grace of the sacraments, He continues cleansing our souls. As temples of the Holy Spirit, we must do our best to expel from our hearts any dysfunctionality that separates us from the Lord. The goal is to be Christified with the truth of divine power. As Bishop Barron says, "Much of Jesus’s ministry consisted of teaching people how to see (the kingdom of God), how to hear (the voice of the Spirit), how to walk (overcoming the paralysis of the heart), and how to be free of themselves so as to discover God."Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today’s reading from the Gospel (Mark 1:21-28), we see the people of Capernaum in the synagogue astonished at Jesus' teaching, "for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes," Mark the Evangelist is telling us.They asked one another,"What is this?A new teaching with authority. He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him."Their amazement came as there was a man with an unclean spirit, crying out:“What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?Have you come to destroy us?I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”"Jesus rebuked him and said, “Quiet! Come out of him!”The unclean spirit convulsed him and, with a loud cry, came out of him."At that time, Christ the Lord drove out an unclean spirit from the possessed man.Today, he wants to perform the same cleansing operation in our lives. From the beginning, He wanted our hearts to be temples of his presence. He is the One who has cleansing authority and cleansing power. He expels those things that don't belong to Him, inviting us to a full conversion. Friends of the Rosary,With His Divine Power, and by becoming incarnate, Jesus Christified the human nature.Sent by the Father for the salvation of mankind, Jesus of Nazareth, the Anointed One, the Messiah to Israel, showed the Word fulfilled. We saw this fulfillment yesterday at the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord, aTheophany event in which God appeared in three persons, showing the Trinitarian nature of the Divinity.Jesus was proclaimed the "Beloved Son" of the Father, signifying that at our Baptism we become the adopted sons of God.By taking His body and blood in the Eucharist, we reaffirm that we want to be part of His mystical body, his shared divinity, without any sin and with total surrender. We say loudly that every one us belong to Him. That’s how we want to conduct our free will.We abide by the proclamation of Christ, as we read in the Gospel today (Mark 1:14-20):“This is the time of fulfillment. The Kingdom of God is at hand.Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, January 11, the faithful celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord, which marks the end of the Christmas season on its eighteenth day.The mystery of Christ’s baptism is linked to the Solemnities of the human birth of the Word incarnate at Christmas and the Epiphany of the Lord, as the Light of all nations, represented by the wise men from the East, who came to adore the Child. The baptism of Jesus in the Jordan is Our Lord’s second manifestation, or Epiphany, as the Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah to Israel. In this mystery, the entire Trinity intervenes. It’s a Theophany in which God appears in three persons. The Holy Spirit descends upon Him in the form of a dove, showing the Trinitarian nature of the Divinity.Jesus is proclaimed the “Beloved Son” of the Father, signifying that at our Baptism we become the adopted sons of God.The heavens are opened, as at our Baptism, heaven is open to us, and we are encouraged to pray to avoid actual sin.Christ, sinless and impeccable, did not need to be baptized.By His baptism in the Jordan, at the hand of John, the Son of God humbled Himself, identifying Himself with our dysfunctions, and taking the sins upon his shoulders and burying them in the waters of the Jordan.Loving and understanding the sinner and dwelling with us, He started a new creation as the new Adam, who came to repair the first Adam’s guilt. He did this as “the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world,” as John the Baptist proclaimed.Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Like St. John the Baptist said, in today’s reading (John 3-22:30), “He must increase; I must decrease.”At that time, John prepared the way of the Lord, presenting himself as a forerunner of the Messiah. He was summing up the longing of the Israelites when, upon Jesus' coming to be baptized, he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” Behold the one who has come to be sacrificed, bringing fulfillment.John the Prophet did not draw attention to himself. Rather, he presented himself as a preparation.Similarly, today we must decrease. which is to say, we must empty ourselves of our self and focus on Christ Jesus. This way, we will open up a space in our hearts to receive the lavish grace of God.Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Jesus defeated the old world of sin and darkness, shielding us with His divine body and blood against the fury of the Evil One and his minions and collaborators. And though the second coming and the establishment of God’s kingdom haven’t taken place yet, the old world is broken and compromised. Its destruction is now just a matter of time. The arrival of a new state of affairs is imminent, as Bishop Barron says.Jesus came to heal the sick, the deaf, and the blind, to forgive the enemies, and to bring the good news through love. With His resurrection, He opened the door of our eternal life of joy and love for all.Today in the Gospel (Luke 4:14–22), Jesus declares that he fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor.”Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New!
