The next storm system moving southeast from the Great Lakes states to the Mid Atlantic brings snow from the Great Lakes into Pennsylvania, New York New Jersey Long Island Connecticut later Friday into part of Saturday before exiting to the east. Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35pm 12/22/2025 We start Christmas week dry across much of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland & Virginia. We do have two weather systems in play with the first one early to midday Tuesday with snow and rain from New Jersey and Pennsylvania northeast into New England. Most areas will see a coating to a few inches from this. A stronger system is coming for the end of the week with snow ice and rain later Friday into Saturday. In between much of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic will be dry Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In the West from Minnesota and the Dakotas to Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington stormy weather continues with heavy flooding rains, heavy mountain snows with some areas experiencing blizzard conditions, & high winds gusting to 60 to 70 mph will continue into early next week though there will be some short breaks from time to time. This is due to an "atmospheric river" of moisture from the subtropical Pacific to the Northwestern US and Southwestern Canada.
