Encore: original airdate 2-4-2026. On today's 'BradCast':  The Trump Administration claims it is 'drawing down' the deployment of ICE and CBP goons in Minneapolis, but is still leaving 2,000 thugs on the streets. So many Trump Justice Department attorneys have resigned from the Minneapolis federal field office, refusing to participate in the administration's violent immigration tactics, that it has caused severe staffing shortages. Talking Points Memo's investigative reporter JOSH KOVENSKY explains the Trump Administration's new effort to revive the nutty 'ItalyGate' conspiracy theory that Donald Trump believes cost him the 2020 election. Kovensky also covers a very disturbing series of Justice Department memos that repurpose a post-9/11 federal terrorism statute to turn it against peaceful protesters and those regarded as political opponents of Trump with 'domestic terrorism' charges, and much more.
On today's 'BradCast':  The Trump Administration continues to lose in the courts and in special elections. Some MAGA folks are calling for US Attorney General Pam Bondi to resign following her ridiculous performance in a congressional hearing, ICE claims to be leaving Minnesota altogether, and new polls show voters now think Joe Biden was a better president than Donald Trump. Longtime OG bloggers, HEATHER DIGBY PARTON of Salon and Hullabaloo and 'DRIFTGLASS' of the 'Pro Left Podcast', bring insight, context, history and hilarity as they delve into the Trump Administration's growing list of failures, the Epstein Files, the rising resistance and resilience of the American people, and much, much more. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
On today's 'BradCast':  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suddenly shut down the air space above the El Paso, Texas airport, and the Trump Administration's shifting explanations don't add up. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi embarrassed the nation (and herself) again during U.S. House testimony on the DOJ's unlawful cover-up of the Epstein Files. In a victory for the fossil fuel industry, the corrupt Trump Environmental Protection Agency is poised to demolish the legal foundation for all US climate regulations by overturning the landmark 'Endangerment Finding,' the scientific determination that greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health by causing catastrophic climate change. DAN BECKER of the Center For Biological Diversity explains the history and context of the Endangerment Finding, what overturning it will mean for public health and climate action, and much more.
On today's 'BradCast':  Republicans love the 'culture wars' because they keep their voters perpetually outraged and divert attention from solving real problems. Some of Donald Trump's MAGA followers are ignoring his edict to hate Puerto Rican U.S. citizen Bad Bunny's spectacular Super Bowl Halftime show. CBS News' ratings plummet after rightwing takeover. Internal DHS documents expose the Trump Administration's lies, revealing that less than 14 percent of detained immigrants have been charged or convicted of violent crime. Trump's 'Religious Liberty Commission' sued for religious discrimination. Trump threatened to block a vital new border bridge with Canada for corrupt reasons. Unsealed affidavit in the FBI's seizure of Fulton County 2020 election records is based on long-debunked allegations. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
On today's 'BradCast':  The joyous, rollicking Super Bowl Halftime show with music superstar Bad Bunny drove Donald Trump into another tantrum. Yet another special election showed a major shift to Democrats, this time in a state legislative race in Louisiana. MARILYN MARKS, election integrity and security expert at the Coalition for Good Governance, explains the rising alarm among election officials over the Trump FBI's unprecedented confiscation of 2020 election materials, including ballots and voter rolls, in Fulton County, Georgia. Marks explains the details of what we know so far about the raid; how genuine problems with Georgia's unverifiable touchscreen elections are ripe for cherry-picking by bad faith actors, and could be used to interfere with the 2026 midterm elections; actions voters can take to help secure elections in their own communities; and much more.
Encore: original airdate 2-2-2026. On today's 'BradCast': The federal government is in a partial shutdown, as Congressional Democrats insist on new guardrails for Donald Trump's ICE and CBP goons and their violent immigration crackdowns. Grammy-winner Bad Bunny spoke movingly against the horrors of the Trump regime. A judge ordered 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father released from a Texas detention center that now reportedly has a measles outbreak. In Texas special elections, a Democrat won a long-delayed open U.S. House seat, further eroding the razor-thin Republican majority. In a race for state senate, the Democratic candidate stunningly flipped a deep red seat by a substantial margin, prompting Trump to lie that he knew nothing about the race or Republican candidate he had endorsed. Trump also lied about why he is shutting down the Kennedy Center. Callers weigh in.
On today's 'BradCast':  Following the Trump FBI raid on the Fulton County, Georgia elections warehouse in service of Donald Trump's ongoing delusions about losing the 2020 election, his top Administration officials had promised to 'confront' the bipartisan National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) - - but they all cancelled their appearances at the last minute. At midnight on Feb. 4, Donald Trump allowed the last remaining nuclear arms treaty between the U.S. and Russia to expire. The New START nuclear agreement capped the numbers of ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads each country could have, and included an extensive verification regime. Nuclear weapons policy analyst STEPHEN SCHWARTZ delves into the history, context and specifics of the agreement; what its expiration means; Trump's ill-advised 'Golden Dome' missile defense concept; and much, much more. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'

On today's 'BradCast': The Trump Administration is losing in the lower courts and earning scathing rulings from judges. A federal judge blocked the administration's cancellation of legal protected status for 350,000 Haitian refugees in the U.S. and excoriated DHS Sec. Kristi Noem's thinly-disguised racist rhetoric. Donald Trump's threats are escalating as his attempted fascist takeover of America stalls; while he has no authority to interfere with or 'nationalize' our elections, he is likely to try. Trump demanded the release of former MAGA Colorado election official Tina Peters, imprisoned over her criminal efforts to defraud the 2020 election and illicitly breach voting system software. 'Saturday Night Live' brilliantly satirized how some MAGA supporters are finding their way back to sanity, or at least away from Trump, and how to help them get back safely. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'

Attorney (and former Republican) KEITH BARBER offers both legal and political insight on Smith's testimony, and dismantles House Republicans' specious false claims in their attempts to attack Smith and the integrity of his investigations. Barber also weighs in on the disturbing new secret whistleblower memo that instructs federal ICE agents to enter private residences without a judicial warrant, violating the Fourth Amendment, and much more. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
On today's 'BradCast':  The Nation magazine nominated the City of Minneapolis for the Nobel Prize. Little has changed after Donald Trump's substitution of Tom Homan to lead the federal government's assault on Minneapolis. US Senate strikes a deal to temporarily fund the government. ICE reportedly ended its surge into the state of Maine, where Republican Sen. Susan Collins is facing a very tough re-election campaign. The new artistic director of the Kennedy Center quit after only two weeks on the job. The US trade deficit grew sharply in spite of  Trump's tariff scheme. Trump's obsession with his 2020 election loss is likely behind the FBI's unprecedented raid on the Fulton County, GA elections warehouse and his surge of immigration officers into Minneapolis. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
On today's 'BradCast':  The Trump Dept. of Homeland Security declared that 16 shooting incidents since July 2025 were all 'justified' before investigations were completed, including the killings of two US citizens in Minneapolis. Another government shutdown is likely as Senate Democrats demand serious restrictions on funding for DHS's immigration goon squads. Former Biden budget official Bobby Kogan, now at the Center for American Progress, details the stakes of the looming shutdown and why it is critical for the American people and history that Democrats to do all they can to rein in the lawless Trump administration. Trump's FBI raided a Georgia election facility, seeking evidence to bolster his baseless claims about the 2020 election. Democrat wins by a landslide in Minnesota statehouse special election. Rock legend Bruce Springsteen released a new song dedicated to 'The Streets of Minneapolis'.
On today's 'BradCast':  The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists moved up the metaphorical 'Doomsday Clock' to 85 seconds to midnight, citing rising risks of nuclear warfare, human-caused climate change and threats from  misuse of biotechnology and artificial intelligence. Nazi-ish Customs and Border Patrol chief Gregory Bovino was demoted following the latest killing of a U.S. citizen in Donald Trump's violent crackdown in Minneapolis. Minnesota's Sec. of State rejects Trump Justice Department's 'ransom letter' suggesting violent ICE invasion will stop if the state hands over sensitive voter roll data. Democratic state lawmakers in Maryland take next steps to redraw U.S. House district maps. Democratic state lawmakers in Virginia vow to appeal judge's ruling blocking their plan to redistrict the state's U.S. House maps. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
On today's 'BradCast':  Apparently, the Trump Administration's murder of U.S. citizens will continue until morale improves. Federal agents murdered ICU nurse Alex Pretti in the streets of Minneapolis as he peacefully filmed their actions. The Trump Administration immediately began smearing Pretti with blatant, easily disproven lies that were directly contradicted by witness cellphone videos. Senate Democrats say they will vote against any government funding bill that doesn't include serious restraints on ICE's unlawful behavior. Giant Minnesota-based corporations offered a tepid response to the latest ICE killing in streets. Callers weigh in.
Encore: original airdate 1-14-2026. On today's BradCast:  In a significant escalation in tactics against constitutionally-protected press freedoms, Donald Trump's FBI raided a Washington Post reporter's home, claiming it was part of a 'leak investigation'. The Trump Administration advised personnel at a U.S. airbase in Qatar to evacuate amid growing unrest in Iran and Trump's threats against Iranian leaders. Less than two weeks ago, Donald Trump invaded Venezuela and deposed its leader, and now claims he 'runs' the country and controls its natural resources. Prof. NICHOLAS GROSSMAN, expert in international relations at the University of Illinois, discusses the ominous signs of destabilization in Venezuela after Trump's attack, the risks to US national security and international relations, Trump's senseless saber-rattling and threats of new imperial conquests of Greenland and other countries, and much more.
On today's 'BradCast:  For the first time, former Special Counsel Jack Smith testified in a public hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on the two criminal investigations and indictments of Donald Trump's efforts to steal the 2020 election and his theft of thousands of classified national security documents after he left office. On today's 'BradCast':  Republicans are hilariously furious at Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) scheduling a special US House election on the latest possible date, but approved GOP Texas Gov. Greg Abbott holding a seat vacant for nearly a year. In special elections, Democrats are outperforming their 2024 election results. Donald Trump's vow to take over Greenland triggered a stock market selloff and upended relations with NATO allies. Far-right EU parties are distancing themselves from Trump. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney laid out plans to forge new alliances without the US.  Trump now says he won't use military force to take over Greenland. RYAN COOPER of The American Prospect explains a number of ways that Europe can and should stand up to 'Mad King' Trump.
On today's 'BradCast':  One year into his final term, Donald Trump's 'golden age for America' is a complete, predictable failure. Trump's approval ratings have cratered amid his paramilitary ICE/CPB goons terrorizing Minneapolis, his efforts to collapse NATO and steal a defiant Greenland, and a crashing stock market. Despite his escalating threats, Trump has no power to cancel the 2026 midterm elections in the states. A federal court blocked the Trump Justice Department from obtaining sensitive voter data to block legal voters from voting. DOJ has been unable to find any evidence of widespread non-citizen voting. Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
Encore: original airdate 1-8-2026. On today's 'BradCast':  With Donald Trump's federal immigration thugs killing Americans in the streets, it's clear that the rule of law at the federal level no longer exists.  The White House announced Trump is withdrawing the United States from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the bedrock international treaty that provides the legal underpinning for international cooperation on numerous climate, environment and conservation agreements since 1992. JEAN SU of the Center for Biological Diversity explains the broad national and international impacts of Trump's withdrawal, why it's unlawful, how it harms Americans' long term interests, and much more. Lower-court judges are pushing back against the Justice Department's disrespect for the Constitution and unlawfully appointed U.S. Attorneys.  Plus Desi Doyen has our new 'Green News Report.'
