We could’ve had a six hour episode today there was THAT much drama from the weekend which unfolding, but we’ve managed - and it’s a good one! Is Erik ten Hag at risk of being sacked? And Niall takes a stand against the disappointing ruling that FA Cup replays are to be scrapped - is it the correct decision for player welfare? And we all attempt to get to the bottom of the bizarre Nottingham Forest tweet which was seen over 40 million times - more than Taylor Swift’s album announcement; and that’s BIG! Chelsea hammered Everton 6-0 in the Premier League last night, with Cole Palmer's 4 strikes surely making his EUROs inclusion an inevitability for England boss Gareth Southgate. There’s been a huge twist in the Premier League title race, as both Liverpool and Arsenal were both beaten in their home grounds, and reigning champions Manchester City slid into first. So, it’s it now Guardiola’s side to lose, or is there plenty more bumps in the road ahead for all three teams? And we have a debate over whether fans have the right to leave their team’s game early, especially if they’re in a title race… Keep up to date with us here: Twitter: https://twitter.com/FSDPod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sportsocialofficial/ Telegram Group: https://t.me/FootballSocial Learn more about your ad choices. Two mouthwatering Champions League quarter-final first legs didn't disappoint as Arsenal drew 2-2 with Bayern and Man City got a 3-3 draw at the Bernabeu. But which of the Premier League sides are better poised going in to leg two - and should the Germans have got a penalty at the Emirates? You've not been taken away in a time machine. Everton really have had more Premier League points taken away! A 2 point penalty was imposed on the Toffees for another breach of the PSR rules. We go through what it means for their Premier League status, whether they can appeal, and why it's all one big mess. Imagine losing a Premier League game after being 3-2 up with 100 minutes on the clock. Yep, seems impossible right? Well not if you're Manchester United. The capitulation to end all capitulations occurred against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last night as United lost 4-3 thanks to a Cole Palmer hat-trick. Does that spell the end for Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford?! No, you read that correctly. Roy Keane only went and compared Haaland to a League Two striker, despite being the Premier League’s top goalscorer so far and smashing every record last season. But, does he have a point? And Aston Villa will be looking to capitalise tonight after Spurs blew their chance to break into the top four, but they face a tricky tie away at the title-chasing Manchester City! Manchester City were held to another draw as they slipped to third in the table, as Arsenal came away unscathed and very much in the hunt for glory. But what's going on at City? Is it the result of Treble hangover, a poor summer transfer window, or just better competition? There's also a managerial merry-go-round involving Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona and three managers may well be sitting in the waiting room as they go in for their interviews. But which manager is going where? And finally, a sentence that even Marley never thought he'd hear; Paolo Maldini has been linked to Newcastle United! Finally, the international break is over and we can now get our full focus back onto the nail-biting, teeth-clencher of a title race as reigning champions Manchester City, host league leaders Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Could a City defeat mean their challenge is over, and does an Arsenal victory mean much much for Arteta’s side? And we look ahead at what could be an audition for Roberto de Zerbi as he travels to another title contender - Liverpool - at Anfield. Plus, he’ll be sat next to the very dugout he could be calling home come August. But, is he more of a gamble or the better pick compared to Xabi Alonso? The EUROs are fast approaching. But which 23 players should be part of England's squad for the tournament in Germany? Is Rashford's place under threat? Is Toney the obvious back-up to Kane? Is Pickford the right number one? We try and channel our inner Gareth Southgate and choose our Three Lions squad for the summer. The Premier League this season has been littered with PSR talk and points penalties. Nottingham Forest have appealed their 4 point deduction, but how does that impact the rest of the season and 'sporting integrity'? Plus, should Ashley Cole's former Chelsea teammate John Terry also be inducted in the Premier League Hall of Fame class of 2024? The international break has provided us with its first big talking point as England lost to Brazil in a friendly at Wembley. Is it cause for concern or nothing to be worried about for Three Lions fans? Plus we discuss the best left backs of the Premier League era as Ashley Cole is set to be inducted in to the Premier League Hall of Fame. EURO 2024 is just three months away, and the chatter is already flying around regarding Gareth Southgate's final squad selection. But, one player who may force his way into that selection is Man United's 18-year-old midfielder Kobie Mainoo, who just received his first ever England call-up. So, was it the right decision, and should he make it to Germany? And Newcastle United have suffered a fresh injury concern from a key player in the defence - we'll give you all the details. Nottingham Forest have been docked 4 points for breaching the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules. The deduction leaves Forest in the relegation zone, a point behind Luton Town. But why was Forest's punishment less than Everton's? Why have they even been punished at all, and will they appeal? We go through it all on today's Football Social Daily. It was two FA Cup quarter-finals to remember, as both Manchester United and Coventry City came from behind to set up a meeting in April's Wembley semi-final! Erik ten Hag’s side left it late as they came from behind twice in what was a pendulum swinger of seven-goal affair, culminating in complete euphoria at Old Trafford after Amad scored a dramatic winner. And it was mirrored by Coventry City who scored two goals in four minutes at Wolves to sneak their way into a Wembley match-up with the Red Devils. I think I have had enough of your Xenophobic football podcast, nothing good comes out of any of you stinking mouth about players that ain't English. Luka Modric deserves better not one English player in my half a century on earth has been as glorious as Modric. Your podcast is like watching Fox news, watching rhe Tory's Hoax or Trump's Rhetoric. Today I leave your waste of my 3 years listening to Football Racist Daily Podcast.
