Lots to talk about on FSD today. Chris Wilder has been fined a whopping £11.5k for his sandwich comments, there was a 'Moyes out' banner in the West Ham away end at the weekend, Arsenal are back in Champions League action tonight and Liverpool and Man City both have midweek Premier League games. We’re Football Social Daily, and of course we have a Monday Moan! And this week it surrounds VAR actually working for its purpose, players defending their teammates over horror tackles, and Luton Town’s manager giving an outspoken post-match conference after their defeat to Manchester United. And it’s United involved in the headlines again as they look to pinch Newcastle United’s director of sport - Dan Ashworth, though it is being reported that a £20m fee will be demanded! As we have been discussing all week on FSD, Roy Hodgson's time at Crystal Palace could soon be over. Now it looks like the Eagles are about to replace the veteran manager with former Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner. Manchester United have had INEOS owner Jim Ratcliffe's investment in the club rubber-stamped today. Is this a new dawn at Old Trafford, and will Ratcliffe's first move be to pinch Newcastle Sporting Director Dan Ashworth? It’s Pancake Day here in the UK and Chelsea certainly earned a sweet victory at Crystal Palace, are they were tossed closer towards the relegation zone which leaves major questions of if Roy Hodgson will remain as head chef at the Eagles. And it seemed to be a given that Harry Kane would go to Bayern and walk out with medals hanging around his neck, though it hasn’t be so straightforward so far. Could the England striker go without a trophy this season? West Ham were destroyed 0-6 at home by Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. On a day of touchdowns and sackings, is Moyes the latest 'chief' to be shown the top flight exit door? Just when we think we’d had enough headaches with VAR being the main talking point, we’ve now been hit with a possible new rule on the horizon - the blue card. Blue cards would mean a 10 minute ‘sin bin’ for a player following dissent towards the referee, or a tackle which doesn’t quite warrant a red, but is too cynical to be a yellow. So, do you give the blue card the red card, or welcome it into the game? Mauricio Pochettino has now managed as many games as his predecessor, Graham Potter, and eerily… their records are almost identical. But what isn’t identical is their fate after those 31 games, with Potter sacked shortly after. So, why hasn’t Pochettino received the same treatment and is he given the benefit of doubt due to his relative success as a manager? ‘Wembley of the North’ was the phrase written by the media, as it’s reported that Jim Ratcliffe wants Old - or new - Trafford to become the best in the country. So, do United need a new stadium, and are they at risk of turning a sacred stadium into a soulless stage? Phil Foden scored a hattrick as Manchester City continued to apply the pressure to Arsenal and Liverpool by coming from behind to beat Brentford 1-3. We discuss the Englishman's potential as well as looking at Jesse Lingard's next career move - FC Seoul. We get our Monday Moans off our chest which involve a certain Gareth Southgate, Pochettino and Chris Wilder… but not for what you’d expect! Arsenal convincingly defeated Liverpool to move just two points behind the league leaders, though Manchester City looked to be the biggest victors as they have two games in hand. So, is it advantage Arsenal, or now time for City to take charge? It's transfer deadline day today, but things are quiet. Although, Forest have signed USA wonderkid Gio Reyna on loan. Will his previous 'attitude issues' affect him in the Premier League? Luton Town gave the football world a reminder that they mean business, and Brighton were of their victims at Kenilworth Road after putting FOUR goals past the Seagulls. Newcastle United ruined the part at the Villa for another week after putting three past them, but could this result turn their season around? And it’s a big one tonight as Liverpool take on Chelsea at Anfield! Mikel Arteta has been linked with the Barcelona job. But is it all a load of nonsense or is he genuinely interested in leving Arsenal? We discuss that on FSD today, as well as diving in to what makes someone a top manager. Plus, Man United's statement that Marcus Rashford's 'internal disciplinary matter' has been dealt with. Jurgen Klopp will be making the headlines for some time to come, but it was the first time he faced the Liverpool fans following his shock announcement on Friday. So, what will life be like for the fans there and how will the squad look once the 2024/2025 season begins? Marcus Rashford was left out of the Manchester United squad through illness, though was reportedly seen in a nightclub days before the game. Is the England international losing the faith of his manager, Erik ten Hag? There will be no more of relieved man in London today than Mauricio Pochettino who saw his Chelsea side thump Middlesborough and move onto the Carabao Cup final. Is this tournament his lifeline and could it turn their season around? We also take a look at just why the January transfer window has had less movement than Marley during a Sunday League game - are clubs that fearful of the FFP sanctions? And we finish with a quiz - but with a special twist, featuring FIFA president Gianni Infantino’s infamous ‘I feel’ speech at the 2022 Qatar World Cup! I think I have had enough of your Xenophobic football podcast, nothing good comes out of any of you stinking mouth about players that ain't English. Luka Modric deserves better not one English player in my half a century on earth has been as glorious as Modric. Your podcast is like watching Fox news, watching rhe Tory's Hoax or Trump's Rhetoric. Today I leave your waste of my 3 years listening to Football Racist Daily Podcast.
