There seems to be no shortage of hauntings in our Capital City. We are back in Edinburgh for a rather disturbing chain of events in the City's West end. Was this just a local legend told to give people the heeby jeebies, or is this sinister tale a true story that would plague a family for generations.

As part of local art installation in Carlisle 2001, a granite boulder would cause a world of chaos for the local community. Featuring 300 words of a 16th Century curse, did this installation place a curse on Carlisle.

We are back in Edinburgh for tales of cursed bones and Egyptian tombs. In the 1930's Sir Alexander Seton and his wife Zeyla took a lovely trip to Egypt. Taking in the sights of the Great Pyramid's of Giza and newly discovered tombs, but that's not all the took. Upon their return their home was plagued with unnatural occurrences - that Sir Alexander attributes to an Egyptian curse.

Graveyards and cemeteries are eerie places for obvious reasons, but Druid Ridge Cemetery, Maryland was once home to a cursed sculpture named The Black Aggie. She once sparked fear in the hearts of the locals with tales of curses and death, but maybe it's her dark history that makes her such a tragic figure.

Although no longer standing Allanbank House at the Scottish borders, was the home to an elegant young ghoul known as Pearlin Jeanne. Falling head over heels in love for it's occupant Sir Stuart, who left her to die in the streets of Paris. With her last breath she swore to make his life a living misery if he ever took the hand of another and she did not disappoint. Discovered in a dirt basement in England this cute little figure was said to have been of Celtic origin. That was until he was put on display and identified by a visitor as a nomoli stone figure, originating from Sierra Leone, West Africa. How this 16th Century little man made his way across the world still remains a mystery, but one thing's for sure he's a very mischievous wee thing.

Hiding under a blanket of shrubs and vines are the ruins of Gight Castle. A 16th Century stronghold with a bloody and troubled past. With it's scenic and peaceful surroundings you would never know that the devil was below your feet.

On the corner of Broad Street, Augusta once stood a very forgettable stone pillar. Little would you know that this stone pillar once struck fear and terror into the locals during the 1800's. In the Outer Hebrides sits a lighthouse. Famous for the disappearance of three of it's keepers in December of 1900. The mystery surrounding the dissapearnce remains unsolved to this day. In Fife, Scotland you will find the fairytale like Kellie Castle. Dating back to the 14th Century and still standing today it is now cared for by the National Trust of Scotland. Although the castle doesn't have our usual bloody history it does have a few ghosties that roam it's corridors.

Another haunted castle steeped in bloody Scottish History. What remains of Ardvreck castle is nestled on a small hill overlooking Loch Assynt in the Scottish Highlands. Along with the history there are tales of mermaids, ghostly figures and even the devil himself.
