We were made for holiness of heart and life. God the Divine Potter, the "Holy Shaper," is forming us into the likeness of Jesus, just as God always intended us to be.

Psalm 122: "I was glad when they said unto me, 'Let us go into the house of the Lord.' " At Jesup FUMC, we are celebrating the renovation of our sanctuary.  
In our series on Coming Home, Jesus returns to Nazareth and reads from Isaiah and announces His mission.  
On this Baptsim of the Lord Sunday, we relfect on the meaning of Bapstim as God claims us as His own.  Luke 3:15-22; Isaiah 43:1-4a Have some water nearby to touch at the end and remember your baptism. 
Merry Christmas from Jesup First UMC. Today we enjoy the carol following the birth of Jesus, the song of Simeon. He held Jesus in the arms. May you hold Jesus in your heart as you see the salvation that God has brought. Nunc Dimitis in pace.

The coming of Christ has alway inpsired singing and poetic prophesies. Today we focus on the song, first sung by Isaiah, that John the Baptist sang: Prepare. God is about to move in a mighty way. Luke 3:1-6. Every Valley Shall be Exalted. 
The First Christmas Carols is a series that will take us through Advent and Christmas as we focus on the songs and poetic prophesies of the people who expereinced the very first Christmas. Today, we focus on the Canticle of Zechariah, known as the Benedictus (Blessed). Scriptures: Jeremiah 33:14-16 and Luke 1:67-79.
