Mahishasura was creating havoc and all devas,God's were unable to find a solution so Lord Vishnu,Brahma and Mahadev urged Arya Shakti and then in the form of Maa Durga she came into existence. Maa Durga fought Mahishasur a tough battle over the course of 9 days and on the 10th day she defeated and left.
