Returning the relic to Georgia shows the importance of cultural connection between India and Georgia. The external affairs minister S Jayashankar returned the relic of St. Queen Ketavan to Georgian President in 2021. The efforts of 14 years from the Archaeological Survey of India resulted in excavation of St. Augustine Church in Goa because of which the relics were found.
