My guest today is arguably India's most prolific cricket photographer, VV Krishnan. Over a long and storied career, he has captured some of the most iconic cricketing and sporting moments, on behalf of The Hindu. The photograph that brought his name to my attention was the legendary "Superman" run-out by Jonty Rhodes in 1992.    It surprised me that there was very information out there about VV Krishnan and the prompted me to talk to him about how he got started with sports photography, what it takes to make it in the business and how he has now transitioned into being a photo editor for a major national newspaper.   - -   Click the button above to Subscribe and click on the bell to be notified about new episodes. If you watched Episode 23 of Everything Comes Together, you would have heard Gayatri Nair, Shuchi Kapoor and Varun Gupta talk in depth about the 3rd edition of Chennai Photo Biennale. The 2021 Biennale launched just recently ago and is now up and running across venues in Chennai.  In Part 2 of my conversation with them, we talk about why they started the Biennale, how they’ve managed to grow their reach and where they feel they can improve the Biennale further. The Chennai Photo Biennale has become one of the more important arts festivals in India and remains the only photography biennale in the country. The 2nd edition of the Biennale in 2019 expanded the scope of what was possible with excellent venues, international photographers and a series of skill building workshops. After the success of the first two editions, the organisers had to not only match expectations, but also had to work around the covid pandemic.  In part 1 of this conversation, my guests today are Gayatri Nair, Shuchi Kapoor and Varun Gupta, the core team behind CPB. As they gear up for the 3rd edition of the Biennale, they sit down with me to talk about this edition’s theme, what kind of work we can expect to see and their plans for photography scene in Chennai. This is Part 2 of the interview with Justine De Penning & Deepak Jawahar. Listen to Part 1 in Episode 21 in your podcast feed, where they interviewed Sreenag about his architectural photography practice and getting into podcasting.  Their firm, The Architecture Story, is an interesting practice that blends art, design and architecture into one harmonious whole. Today, we talk about their unusual journeys upto when they met, their approach to their design work and the importance of technology in the creative process. Just a word about the setting of today's interview: Justine & Deepak went to great effort to setup their installation for the Magnetic Fields Festival, just for the interview, and it acts as a unique backdrop to a unique interaction. The conversation with Justine De Penning & Deepak Jawahar took a delightfully unusual turn right from the start, when as soon as we hit record on our conversation, Justine and Deepak took the opportunity to ask me about how I got started in photography & podcasting and my approach to both architecture & photography. It would not be overstating it to say that the name synonymous with architectural photography in India is that of my guest: Bharath Ramamrutham. Considering the variety of work Bharath has done over the years, it was important to talk  about more than just photography. During her time there, while working on her passion projects, she started her own practice CityWorks - a social enterprise created to design a better urban environment around us. With text and fonts playing such an integral role in all out everyday lives, it's easy to overlook what a life in type actually looks like. Lettering, fonts and text are all around us, in nearly every avenue of our lives, and we rarely give them a second glance. Every beautiful font we casually use has actually been a subject of days, weeks or months of work.  Tanya is one of those people who works hard to design a better looking textual landscape around us. Apart from her work designing fonts, she writes about type to spread the word and conducts type walks, explaining older styles of type in the real world. I had been waiting to speak with her since before I even had a podcast, so this interview is a story about a life in type.  CREDITS  Guest: Tanya George (Tanya Types)  www.tanyatypes.in / www.instagram.com/tanyatypes / www.twitter.com/tanyatypes  Hosted by  B.R.S.Sreenag, Sreenag Pictures  (www.instagram.com/sreenag) (www.sreenagpictures.com)  Post-production: Thiruvikraman Srinivasaraghavan, Shreya Nagarajan Singh | Arts Development Consultancy  (www.instagram.com/shreyanagarajansingh) (www.shreyanagarajansingh.com)  Production Assistance: Abdul Jeelani  Music: Aashray Harishankar,  Escapist Music  (www.instagram.com/escapistmusic)  - - -  Everything Comes Together is a podcast produced by Sreenag Pictures. I have followed Anumita's work ever since she decided to go full time with her brand A Clay Story. Her tableware always caught my eye because it seemed obvious to me that each piece was unique and was made with love for the work.    If I was to buy one of her mugs or planters, I would feel like it was made individually for me. This stems from the fact that Anumita makes every single piece that A Clay Story sells. We talk about the challenges and joys of running a business solo, the years of learning that go into building expertise and the importance of surrounding yourself with the people who can help move you ahead.   CREDITS  Guest: Anumita Jain Potter, Ceramicist & Product Designer (www.instagram.com/a.clay.story) Hosted by  B.R.S.Sreenag, Sreenag Pictures (www.instagram.com/sreenag) (www.sreenagpictures.com) Post-production: Thiruvikraman Srinivasaraghavan, Shreya Nagarajan Singh | Arts Development Consultancy (www.instagram.com/shreyanagarajansingh) (www.shreyanagarajansingh.com) Production Assistance: Abdul Jeelani Music: Aashray Harishankar,  Escapist Music  (www.instagram.com/escapistmusic)
