Aleksandra is a Canadian former tennis player. She turned professional in November 2005, and achieved a career-best ranking of No. 21 in June 2009, making her the fifth highest-ranked Canadian singles player of all time. She won one WTA and eleven ITF tournaments. At the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford in 2008, she became the first Canadian in 20 years to capture a WTA singles title and the first Quebecer in history to have accomplished such a feat. She reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 3 on January 31, 2005. Wozniak was named Female Player of the Year by Tennis Canada five times (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2012). It was such a pleasure speaking, listening and feeling the energy of Canada's highest ranked doubles tennis player on the WTA tour, as she is in isolation in Australia.   Gaby Dabrowski shares her thoughts on her doubles game, Women's and Mixed in this 30-ish minute video chat.  She will be competing at the 2021 Australian Open in the Women's Doubles category with American Bethanie Mattek-Sands and in Mixed Doubles with  Mate Pavic from Croatia!    A bit of background: Gabriela "Gaby" Dabrowski  is a Canadian professional tennis player of Polish origin. She reached her highest WTA singles ranking of No. 164 on November 3, 2014 and her highest doubles ranking of No. 7 on March 19, 2018.  She won the 2017 French Open mixed doubles title with Rohan Bopanna, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title. Laura is the CEO and founder of Mind in Motion Consulting ( https://mindinmotion.ca/ ). She has a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Ottawa. Her formal training is in the area of educational psychology and the psychology of performance. She has worked in the field as an applied practitioner for over 20 years. She is a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA), a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), a Chartered Professional Coach (Ch.P.C.) with Coaches Association of Canada (CAC), and a Learning Facilitator for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). Laura has worked with a number of national, provincial and regional organizations as a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC). She has supported Canadian athletes at Olympic, Paralympic and Special Olympic Games, and World Championships. She has provided consulting services to BC provincial teams at Canada Summer and Winter Games. She has been an instructor at Douglas College in Sport Science teaching courses on sport psychology and an adjunct professor in the Theatre Department at the University of British Columbia running a course on Performance Psychology. She has supported coaches as a Learning Facilitator through the NCCP program, facilitating courses on the psychology of performance, conflict management, and leadership. She supervises emerging MPCs and counsellors in an internship program through Douglas College Athletics. Finally, Laura has contributed to the Canadian Sport Psychology Association as a member of the Managing Council and as Chair of the Review Committee. Laura is passionate about the field of performance. She strives to create safe and compassionate environments where clients can explore their own understanding of who they are and what they want to accomplish. She believes that individuals are the experts on themselves and active agents in their own change. She views consulting as a collaborative process where individuals need to be supported to recognize their strengths, explore past, present and future understandings and approaches, and move forward in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them.

Coach and Tennis Leader Louis Cayer and I met almost 20 years ago when I was playing as a junior; and always stayed in touch.  In this interview, Louis shares his thoughts on creating world class tennis performers, doubles strategy including Mixed Doubles, and how he has taken dozens of players to the top 100 in the World! Hope you enjoy Wayne's perspective and our chat:)  Uros WAYNE ELDERTON BIO: Tennis Director, North Vancouver Tennis Centre (NVTC) Head Course Facilitator for Tennis Canada Coaching Certification in British Columbia He is also a PTR Professional and USPTA Elite Professional. Wayne is one of only 3 coaches in Canada with Coach level 4 and Club Professional 3 Certification. He has won multiple coaching awards for development as well as High Performance including twice being runner-up for the Coaching Canada Development Coach of the year (nominated from coaches from every sport). He has been the Canadian Tennis Professionals Association Pro of the Year and Coaching Educator of the year. As a coaching educator, he has designed large portions of the Canadian Certification system and is a consultant for the Midtown network of clubs, training their Tennis Directors in Situation Training. He has been a presenter at coaching conferences world-wide including 5 times at the Tennis Teachers Conference in New York and a Keynote Speaker at the ITF World-wide coaches Conference. He is a recognized international expert in the Game-Based Approach.
Talking Doubles Tennis with Daniel; we dive into what it takes to be one of the greatest doubles players in the history of the game. What makes a player great; how do you pick your partners, and how is mixed doubles different from doubles?  Enjoy:) Uros BIO: Daniel Nestor is a Canadian retired professional tennis player. He is one of the foremost doubles players in tennis history due to his longevity and continued success at the top of the men's game. As of March 2018, he is 10th for most men's ATP titles in Open Era history. In January 2016, Nestor became the first doubles player in ATP history to win 1000 matches. He was continuously ranked in the top 100 in doubles from April 1994 to April 2018, a total of 1134 consecutive weeks. He won 91 men's doubles titles (with 11 different partners), including a Gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, four ATP World Tour Finals, and eight Grand Slam men's doubles titles attained with three different partners. In addition, Nestor won four Grand Slam mixed doubles titles: the 2007 Australian Open with Elena Likhovtseva, the 2011 Australian Open with Katarina Srebotnik, and the 2013 Wimbledon and 2014 Australian Open with Kristina Mladenovic. His 91 men's doubles titles make him the third-most decorated champion among doubles players. He was the first player in doubles tennis history to win every Grand Slam and Masters Series event, the Year End Championships and Olympic gold medal at least once in his career, an achievement that has since been matched by the Bryan brothers. He was named ATP Doubles Team of the Year in 2002 and 2004 (with Mark Knowles) and 2008 (with Nenad Zimonjić). He became the world No. 1 ranked doubles player in the world in August 2002. Nestor's career-high singles ranking was world No. 58, which he reached in August 1999.
