Addressing and ending veteran homelessness is more than an obligation, it is a responsibility. Roughly 33,000 veterans throughout the country lack permanent housing, of this some 14,000 are unsheltered on any given night.
The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans is launching “The Road Home” podcast with a series covering affordable housing for veterans. This season we’ll take a turn and examine solidarity as a critical piece of the effort and identify how collective action can impact an individual veteran’s ability to access affordable housing.
Ending veteran homelessness requires all hands on deck. We need to partner to create a path forward that works for the most vulnerable veterans and resists the obstacles they face.
