episode isn't working
The podcast that got me interested in reading every single King book (I've read 27 now) when I had only read half of one before.
Hey, this episode's been uploaded incorrectly - it's over four hours longer than it should be because it keeps skipping around repeating earlier sections.
This is the perfect Stephen King podcast for people who clearly don't care for Stephen King. "IT" and "The Stand" are among his "worst novels"? One of the very first things said on the first Dark Tower episode covering "The Gunslinger" is "I hate this shit"? What are we even doing here?
I love your in-depth discussion of this novel, but you comment a lot on the time period in which it was originally published, but I think it's better to keep in mind that he WROTE the book in 66-67 when he was 19, right about the age these boys were when they volunteered for The Long Walk. Also, during the time of The Vietnam War. This was the first "book" he ever wrote and he admits that he did very little re-writes before publishing.
won't play.
