1.1 The Swamp

1.1 The Swamp

2025-12-0318:32

Will you escape the swamp or be subsumed by it? A guided imagination-meditation by PLANTS.
Are you longing to be heard--REALLY listened to? Are you stuck in a rut, old patterns that keep repeating? Do you struggle staying on task or pursuing things you feel fulfilled by? Do you wish you had someone you could talk to about life--the meaning, the purpose--someone who knows the struggle all too well, but is not lost in it themselves? I can be this person for you. I offer support, a space-holding service: neither a friend nor a therapist, but filling the gap between the two. I offer 1-on-1 calls to anyone interested. I listen deeply with compassion and non-judgment. I offer guidance and mentorship when requested. I offer space for you to untangle yourself, to find your way through a confusing, challenging world. I support you to remember JOY in your body and to bring ALIVENESS back into your life.  I am a listener, a teacher, a guide--one who believes YOU have the answers and YOU know your way (when you really listen to what's inside). Reasonable rates; sliding scale available. Send me an email if you're curious: feelinweird@gmail.com

I am about to turn 40 and I have tried SO hard every day to have even ONE thing I can look at as a success in my life. Y'all have described my struggles word for word. My god. Thank you. Hopefully I will remember this revelation between 9 and 5 tomorrow so I can try to call a doctor. Dang.

I started picking my acne/skin around age 11. I realized it was a problem over the past 13 or so years, but always just associated it as a terrible habit. I'm now 30 and still act on this, and have just recently come to understand it as a true compulsion that I need help for and not merely a habit. I felt ready to confess this to my PCP a few weeks ago and ask for help, and felt super anxious the morning of the appointment. He was understanding and referred me to a dermatologist and recommendes therapy also. Still have to act on our plan, so nothing drastic has changed for me yet. Thank you for sharing your story. It gives hope in dealing with this issue and feeling more confident that it's okay I haven't been able to just "stop doing it," and to reach out for more help.

I immediately listened to this episode when I saw the title! I chew on my lips and pick the skin around my fingers. I usually don't notice I'm doing it until I start bleeding. It's nice to hear that it isn't just me who deals with this. I really appreciate this podcast.

Love this episode. Even though my story comes in a slighly different shade, it is heart & mind-opening to hear that others gone through the same dark valleys and can confirm that there is help. I liked that your guest tried to shine a light and point onto the bright side. my heart feels a lot happier after hearing your episode about trauma and its consequence.

this has been my very favorite podcast. You spoke to my heart. Growing up with a bipolar mother, alcohol father who divorced when I was 15. then suffering my own ptsd from rape and traumatizing court ordeals. your honesty helped me not deal alone. thank you for your vulnerability. I appreciate you.

I'm only seven minutes in, but I just want you guys to know that I'm here listening, and I'm glad you're sharing your stories. I've struggled with depression too, so I can relate to some things you've felt, Levi. I'm sorry it got so bad that you attempted suicide. I've been looking into polyamory/polygamy and it really interests me. I'm assuming this podcast will help. Both of you guys seem super chill. Again, thanks
