Season 1 is finally over and man it has been a bumpy ride but I made it! The journey hasn't always been easy but there is always something to learn everyday...still not there as yet but I am still growing, still changing, still giving myself grace everyday and everyone should.
Thanks for the love, can't wait for Season 2! xo
Soap won't wash away your shame sis! I struggled and still is am struggling with shame...but I am learning how to be transparent about it...Shame thrives in secrecy...
After a well needed sabbatical...I am back!!!!!! What a gawwwwnnn??!!!!! Hola!!! Bonjour!! Konnichiwa!!! What's up!!????How unu do??? Did you miss me? I missed you all.
We have so many things to catch up on but...I'm out of hiding so here I am! Let's gooooooo!
Life is truly a journey...the good, the bad and the ugly....it is hard to give thanks in bad times...but I am learning to be grateful regardless...so many persons have nothing...yet they are grateful...so many persons have lips, yet they can't speak...have legs yet they can't they walk. We have so much to be thankful for...are you grateful today?
"You don't know what I'm going through, you don't know my story." We all feel pain, we all have scars. Reminiscent of past battles or struggles, these wounds leave behind deep scars. Our scars remind us that, though we were wounded, we’ve been healed...mi have a couple scars...let's talk about them...
There are always going to be people in your life who misunderstand you and people who don’t like you. There will always be people who criticize you, judge you, attack you, and spread rumors about you. When you are misunderstood, you’re going to have a tendency to get in there and defend yourself. When you’re attacked, your tendency is attack back — just like the rest of us. When people criticize you, you want to criticize back. When people insult you, you want to insult them back. Don’t do it! Let them talk! You have two choices. You can defend yourself, or you can let God defend you. Which will it be? Who do you think can do a better job defending you? I doubt it...suh mi mek dem talk!
Maybe one of my biggest struggles to date...but I have been better...but if I tell you that its the easiest thing to do, I would be lying. I realize that Forgiveness is about letting go of the past pains, understanding and moving on. It’s about taking care of your own mental health and setting yourself free. Selfish? Maybe, but it’s the kind that does good to others too.
"My father was one of those men who sit in a room and you can feel it: the simmer, the sense of some unpredictable force that might, at any moment, break loose, and do something terrible." I was completely broken down- emotionally, spiritually and as a result played on my physical appearance. A broken self esteem and a terrifying childhood, I managed to wear a mask of pretense while I was dying on the inside...
Listen to me when I say this...don't let your past hold you back, take the first step and leave! Leave...leave your past behind and never look back. Life was meant to be lived moving forward...not backwards. We all make mistakes...learn to give yourself some grace a trust your process! Your past does not define your character.
Raw, unsensored and real. A thriving woman sharing her story and experiences on just about everything she has encountered in her life about God, love, heartaches, family, friendships, pain, sickness, hardship and all the other "taboos" that no one speaks about.
Life can get and be messy and we think we are alone, but just knowing that someone has been where you were or worse and survived...makes a huge difference. You are not alone...take it from me...I now know that
