In this episode, I explore the power of practicing unconditional acceptance. I share how learning acceptance profoundly shifted my perspective during my OCD recovery, and how Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy opened me to a new way of being with myself - one grounded in allowing my experience to be exactly as it is.That shift became a catalyst, guiding me toward a more compassionate and accepting relationship with myself. It was an opportunity to alchemize my pain into purpose. Embodying acceptance has been a deep soul journey for me, aligning me more fully with my Reiki practice, my Buddha nature, and my authentic Self.I share from an open heart, and I invite you to listen with an open mind. My hope is that this episode meets you at exactly the right time, offering support and inspiration for your own healing path.@laura.jean.reiki
In this episode, I introduce The Healing Diary Workbook - a creative, supportive companion designed to meet you wherever you are on your healing journey. I share how and why this workbook came to life, and the intention behind creating a space for self-reflection, self-acceptance, and inner reconnection.I’ll chat about four of the 22 topics from the workbook: intention setting, the process of alchemy and transformation, the power of self-compassion, and five practical ways to connect with your inner wisdom. This episode is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and remember that healing isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about listening, honouring, and trusting what’s already within you.If you’d like to read along, you can find The Healing Diary Workbook as a downloadable PDF via my website (resources section). Otherwise, simply listen to the chat and see what curiosity is sparked within you. 😊
In this episode, I share five key learnings that supported my health, wellbeing, and soulful growth over the past year. Over the past seven years I’ve been through a fascinating journey with chronic pain (Burning mouth/bladder pain)/OCD and subsequently discovering the tools to facilitate self-healing through mind-body medicine. This exploration has introduced me to a wealth of knowledge, particularly regarding Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS). Along this path, I found the necessary skills to heal chronic pain and the endless array of mystery symptoms. Through this experience I learnt that the healing journey isn’t just about being pain-free, it’s about embodying acceptance so deeply, that no matter what life throws at you, you’ll be ok. Now, I am excited to share these insights and tools with others. In this episode I break down my learnings into six categories required for healing: 1 – Educate yourself about Tension Myositis Syndrome 2 – Believe you can heal 3 – Release emotions and practice acceptance 4 – Live your life based on your values 5 – Shift your mindset 6 – Practice self-compassion and patience   Show notes: My interview with Nicole Sachs on ‘The Cure for Chronic Pain– healing OCD, Burning Mouth and Pelvic Pain’ – listen here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2WyaYvk02hEYhZtBSQp4wF?si=7b274925d5b14ac8   TMS and Mind-Body medicine info: Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) treatments (sarnoclinic.com) https://open.spotify.com/episode/7vzqz1Snmb1YZeQN5EnG1W?si=5e9a974d4f2441b9   The Symptom Imperative The Symptom Imperative and TMS — PainOutsideTheBoxhttps://open.spotify.com/episode/3wEvvX8D2Yo8LYcmOLG8Lw?si=8qxa4RXLR0ehRvCNDGV2Xg Emotional release meditations: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0ks1djLqwdBQWlkNx1jP2b?si=32WeYJKzRaO442tGJrdLpg https://open.spotify.com/episode/4XsP2EU14o2nLr0kVWrEPJ?si=f7uOUvR-Q8eUjFDPGr8sQw   Meet your Future Self meditation https://open.spotify.com/episode/0hJi30DBDkuKBRvXLt2GZV?si=5c2010b176e94be0   JournalSpeak instructions (from Nicole Sachs): How to JournalSpeak — The Cure for Chronic Pain   Self-Compassion tools: https://self-compassion.org/ https://youtu.be/wm1t5FyK5Ek?si=Re-Dl5saaTicx9qY   Laura Jean Reiki website https://linktr.ee/laura.jean.reiki   OCD, Chronic Pain and general healing resource list Resources - OCD, Chronic pain & general healing (google.com)   Instagram: LauraJean ▪︎ Reiki Master (@laura.jean.reiki) • Instagram photos and videos   If you found this episode helpful, please rate and review so it can help others to find it too! This meditation provides you with an opportunity to practice observing and witnessing challenging emotions, with an attitude of acceptance and non-judgement. Cultivating this skill creates a space where we can respond rather than react to our emotions, which allows the emotional energy to move through our bodies to release and integrate. This practice comes to a close with a space to offer yourself self-compassion, tending to yourself with care and kindness. This recording also includes background sounds of birds chirping in the morning, which can be used as an external anchor point if feeling gets too much. External anchors can also include objects in your environment such as a tree, flower, rug, cup, or clouds in the sky. This mini meditation is here for you when you need to take a break and connect back into your body and breath. You can use this at any time throughout the day when you need to anchor back into the present. As the mindfulness practice comes to a close, you'll be nourished with the sweet sounds of the Earth element Koshi windchime. ✨️
When we are feeling overwhelmed, it can be tricky to stay present and grounded within ourselves. The intention of this meditation, is to practice becoming aware and accepting of whatever is present in our experience. Moving from overwhelm to acceptance, with attention on the breath, acknowledging the body, thoughts, and emotions as they arise. Cultivating an attitude of non-judgement, allowance and compassion. ♡
Do you want to start meditating regularly but unsure of how to even start? In this episode I'll share some tips for getting started. If you're an absolute beginner, or if you need some more inspiration to help build this new habit, this episode is for you!

Reiki Healing is a very curious modality, especially to anyone who is new to it! When I first experienced energy healing, I had no idea how it was working, but I could feel it, so I knew something was happening. In this episode I share my perspective on Reiki healing, what it is, how it works and the benefits. Including my favourite part of Reiki healing – Awakening your Inner-healer! We all have the ability to heal ourselves and this is why Reiki is empowering at a deep soul level.   Enjoy!
In this mini podcast episode I explain what mindfulness meditation is and what a "non- judgmental" attitude means. I also bust a few myths about mindfulness meditation including one I hear a lot - "Meditation means clearing your mind". ~ I also mention Vipassana meditation and what the "two signs of progress" in meditation are. ~ For more information about Mindfulness meditation I suggest following Teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn. ~ I'm excited to share a bit more about myself and my journey with Meditation and Reiki healing in the coming months! Stay tuned. Comments and questions welcome. 💖 Instagram @laura.jean.reiki / email: laura.jean.reiki@gmail.com
