In which X7 takes us to the land of the Moab Giants, and has a lot of fun doing it. This made the entire trip to Moab worth it! Let's roll!
In which Xy wants us to know he did NOT talk the ears off Jeffrey (not his real name) at the visitor center of Utahraptor State Park today! See, he can learn some dino-manners (play on words there, you know)! Utah is a beautiful state, but 7 is ready to go back to good ol' Fossil Bed! Let's roll!
In which X7 takes a look at the remake of the classic Land of the Lost (1974) series. For some reason, Krofft Productions thought it would be a good idea to remake the whole thing in 1991. It is not the worst kid's show ever, and does have some great dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. However, the scripts are a bit lacking. Take it for what it is, and it isn't too bad.
In which X7 takes a look at the Roy Chapman Andrews book All About Dinosaurs. This book was ubiquitous in dinosaur-loving kids' libraries for at least thirty years. X7 has had several copies himself, generally donated from older kids who somehow outgrew their love of dinosaurs. We blame sportsball for that unique phenomenon. Take a trip back to 1953 and the Gobi Desert! And yes, that is the cover of the book X7 owns.
In which X7 reviews his second visit to The Dinosaur Resource Center in idyllic, if rather chilly, Woodland Park, Colorado. He is impressed with himself for not spending nearly as much money as the last time he was there! There were several new parts, and the whole thing was a lot of fun. Let's roll!
In which X7 looks at the entertaining for an eight year old in 1973 movie, Invasion of the Neptune Men! Starring a very young Sonny Chiba, it is a sci-fi superhero movie! Yes, young X7 saw parts of it back then. Let's fight for the Earth!
In which X7 talks about how we are not supposed to watch four episodes of The Super 6 in a row, but they are still pretty fun. Elevator Man is in two episodes, and he really needs a giant monster of some kind to fight! Let's roll!
In which X7 talks about seeing the highly influential movie, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad! It is just wonderful, even if a bit dated at this point in time. One can't help but enjoy it, though. Let's roll!
In which X7 takes a look at what used to be a rather rare Japanese animated movie (aka CARTOON) Magic Boy! It is a pretty fun movie overall, and quite gorgeous. The story isn't too complicated and it moves quickly over. Grab that katana, and let's roll!
In which X7 celebrates what would have been Tom Lehrer's 98th birthday with seven great songs. These are how X7 met Mr. Lehrer. Let us know what you think about these totally public domain songs in the comments! Let's roll!
In which X7 talks about four more episodes of the wonderful Ultraman Mebius, and one is outstanding. And very martial arts related, we will tell you what! Get that Ultra Ring ready, and let's roll!
In which X7 reviews the first 100 pages or so of the amazing Dinomania book from 2015! It surely has NOT bitten the dust, we will tell you what! Let's dig in!
In which X7 reviews the US version of the first Gamera movie, Gammera The Invincible! It is pretty fun, and the US cut is a bit better than the Japanese version. Prove me wrong! Let's roll!
In which X7 talks about four more episodes of the Super 6, including two episodes that are slightly connected! Which superhero is in those episodes? Watch and find out! Zip, zam, zowie, and swoosh!
In which X7 talks about An American Werewolf in London (1981) and his preference in werewolves. The movie is great, but has a unique take on the myths of lycanthropy. Watch and let us know what you think! Let's howl!
In which X7 reviews the action-packed Sister Street Fighter (1974) movie! It stars Etsuko Shihomi and Sonny Chiba , along with several other familiar faces. It is pretty straightforward, which is a nice change of pace these days. Let's roll!
In which X7 talks about seeing The Land Before Time way back in 1988, and then again some 38 years later. How does it hold up this time? About the same as the first time. Watch and find out!
In which X7 reviews two episodes of Ultraman Mebius, and the Ultraman Hikari side story! Great episodes. We can't say it enough, this series fires on all cylinders! Let's roll!
In which X7 takes a loving look at the made for television documentary Dinosaur! from 1985. The host is Christopher Reeve , and he really is super. The doc presents the newest, most up-to-date theories and ideas at the time, and has a lot of guest appearances. It also has a lot of clips, which may be why it has never been released since 1994. Be that as it may, let's dig into it!
In which X7 reviews the surprisingly thoughtful How to Make a Monster from 1958! AIP made it almost a sequel to their "I Was a Teenage (monster)" movies, and surprisingly, it is pretty good. Let's roll!
