Perrin Aybara's story is a journey of self discovery. As a blacksmith from the Two Rivers, he becomes a warrior and leader. Today we highlight some of his best moments, his Wolfbrother abilities the forging of Mah'alleinir, and his role in many battles. Loyalty, compassion, inner strength, struggles with leadership and grappling with his own nature make him relatable while his unwavering moral compass and dedication to protecting others make him a beloved character in Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time".

We are back just in time to cover some of the exciting news, leaks, and images for season two of Wheel of Time. Do we dare hope the incomparable Shohreh Aghdashloo will actually portray the indomitable Cadsuane? Or are the clues pointing to her playing Elaida? A transcribed script between Aviendha and Perrin reveals the possibility of “sexual tension” between the two; will this actually play out on screen? If it does, will it make sense or will we hate it? We sift through the possible episode titles and the images released in the Entertainment Weekly article to see if we can piece through where this season will and won’t take us.

We rejoin Nyneave, Elayne, Thom, and Juilin as they attempt to get back to Tar Valon. The trek from Tanchico has been eventful and the gals are barely in Amador. There’s an uncovered message from the White Tower, an unexpected capture, and a heroic rescue in the first three chapters this week. We also find Siuan hunting out an agent for the Blue Ajah’s eyes and ears in Murandy’s capital city. Amber posits a question too entertaining too resist: Is Lugard a place where drag queens run the taverns? If it is, we would very much like to go there. Or at least see it on the show.

We love Moiraine, and she takes it upon herself to cart lots of goodies away from the Waste. Just imagine of she took those objects of the One Power back to Tar Valon considering who the new Amyrlin is... this week we strap up and leave the Waste behind. Rand's relationship with Aviendha is slowly heating up, Egwene levels up with the Wise Ones, and begins her explorations into her friend's dreams. Lots of fun moments this week!

Book five kicks us off with some meaty chapters and tantalizing situations. Will Elaida manage to turn fear to obedience among the Aes Sedai? We imagined this would be our final episode on TSR, however, excitement is difficult to contain when there’s so much happening in these chapters. Only covering chapters 55 and 56 this week in order to get into all the nitty gritty details and fun theories. In these chapters; Nyneave, Elayne, and Egeanin got into the Panarch’s palace, but now it’s time for the trio plus one to find their way out. And Perrin is preparing his mind and the village for what will certainly be the worst attack, if not the last, on Emond’s Field.

Elayne and Nyneave are entertaining their new gal pal, Egeanin, when Domon Bayle arrives and reveals that she is Seanchan. Things have not been going well in Emond’s Field. More trolloc attacks have pinned the little village down and supplies are running short. Dire news pushes Perrin back to the Wolf dream and leaves him with a new bride.

There is fighting in the Tower and safety depends on which side you choose. Rand is still traveling through the Waste to Cold Rocks Hold with a less than pleasant Aviendha still trailing him. The first view of Cold Rocks Hold is a pleasant surprise, covered in greenness and shade. And in an attempt to mollify Aviendha, Rand decides to find her a gift.

Shit’s about to get real! Perrin awakes seriously weakened from his healing but determined to take care of his responsibilities. Plans change when the village is alerted to the presence of Trolllocs approaching and defenses need to be pulled into full force immediately. Egeanin is trailing tricky Floran Gelb as he seems about to kidnap another woman that she doesn’t want to have to kill or sell into slavery. And Elayne and Nyneave are dressed in silk but carrying staves for protection as they wander through the dangerous, impoverished streets of Tanchico.

In these chapters, Elayne and Nyneave arrive in Tanchico, with a slightly sullen Thom and Juilin in tow. Perrin with his growing band of Two River’s lads has been good to his word and hunting has been good. But all good things must come to an end. An attack coming from an unexpected angle sees the first deaths of the young men and leaves Perrin grievously injured. Very exciting episode full of many “Whaaaa???” moments to enjoy!

Egwene and Elayne meet in The World of Dreams on their way to Tanchico. Mat gets several of his staple items from a caravan of peddlers who join the Aiel. Rand tells Mat that they ride with evil now. Trollocs and myrddraal ruin a brief respite as cries can be heard out of the dark and big baddies descending on the camp of the Aiel. And we end on a chapter that gives us perspectives in Tanchico, a den of secrets and a Black Ajah hiding spot.

There’s great alliteration ahead, although an awful atrocity reaches one of our closest members in the group. Perrin returns to the Two Rivers after strange dreams including a new stranger. Upon his return home, he gets some of the worst possible news one could imagine. Grief hits him hard, but Faile comforts him as he makes a plan for what his next move needs to be.
