Funny enough, I used one for a hidden drawer project I made for my desk. It opens when I swipe a keycard — works like a charm, and it’s been doing that daily for about a year now. No issues so far. The one I used came from this miniature actuators https://www.progressiveautomations.com/pages/micro-linear-actuators , and I liked that they have different force ratings depending on your project’s needs. Worth checking out if you're looking for something that lasts.
