E08 - The future of Leadership with Louise Orbesen Podcast by Bobby Gogios
In this episode my guest is the author of the book “Pseudo Work”. It’s basically about how we got extremely busy doing nothing. How we spend too much time on things that don’t create value or make sense.
If you’re leading people this is an absolute must watch episode of the podcast. If you’re an employee doing Pseudo Work this is for you - because you’re not alone (unfortunately)!

In this episode you get to meet Johannes Dahl - a German entrepreneur who started a software company that monitors performance of solar energy plants.
We talk about starting a company while studying at university, funding, valuations, exit strategies and how it was to sell or merge his company. I can really relate to his story since I also sold my company and because of that I’m also sharing some of my experiences with the subjects.
I think his story is really interesting and there’s a lot to be learned from it.

If you exercise charismatic power people are more likely to follow you and that's probably something that most of us would like to perfect!
Instead of giving employees a bonus to make them do want you want, there is a method that is almost as efficient. That method is called Charismatic power.
Simply by changing the way you communicate you make people follow you. Charismatic leadership is something that we can all benefit from. No matter if you're an employee or a leader you can use charismatic power to make other people follow you.
3 Things that I took away from my talk with Mathias:
➡️ A real eye opener to me about charismatic power was the numbers. Giving people a bonus improved efficiency by 20% However, by only changing the way you communicate (through charismatic leadership) efficiency can be with up to improved 17% - almost the same upside but at a much lower cost.
➡️ You need to be a strong leader that people believe in.. but you also need to show your empathetic side and I believe it can be a real challenge to be both at the same time.
➡️ I was a little surprised, how much it means to be present. It's right up there among top 3 things you need to do to be more charsimatic.

Jakob Frisenette Kristoffersen is the CEO of Claimlane. He’s a different kind of CEO with interesting perspectives on life and business. I enjoyed to talking to Jakob about his views on leadership, balance in life and building a startup.
3 Things that I took away from my talk with Jakob:
➡️ Quality: Think of how you can spend quality time with your family but also your in your business/ job.
➡️ Passion: He quit his job and risked everything to start his own company. His story is a reminder to everyone, that you need to put passion in the center of the things you’re doing.
➡️ Help: Share your ideas with as many people as possible. This will improve your idea and maybe be the one thing that could make it take off! Make sure to get in contact with the people that can help you realize your ideas.
