Six years ago, Heidi fell down a set of stairs leaving her paralyzed from the chest down & permanently wheelchair-bound. Rather than letting her paralysis consume her entirety, she was determined to not let it destroy her identity. After running a successful bridal hair and makeup company, she decided to train as a personal stylist. Topping the scale at over 385 pounds Lisa played many different roles from the Fat Lady on HBO’s Carnivale to Mama Cass in the film My Dinner with Jimi. She has also been an outspoken advocate for people of size. She appeared on Oprah discussing “What It’s Like To Be Fat” exclaiming to Oprah, “I love my body!” Now, years later, she has lost over 185 pounds naturally (125 in the last few years living a ketogenic lifestyle) and still loves her body and wants people to love theirs in the most healthful way possible. She still fights her demons daily – disordered eating, body dysmorphia along with Type 2 Diabetes, menopause, and anxiety. He realized the power of gratitude in transforming his life, so he decided to help others change their lives. He has been practicing these exercises for the past five years and has grown a global community of over 18,000 people to whom he sends his daily gratitude exercises.
