Jessica has a background in environmental law and has been involved in the international movement for Rights of Nature since 2017. In the Netherlands, she advocates for the recognition of the Rights of Nature. In her acclaimed book she tells the stories behind global examples and in 2024, her foundation for the Rights of Nature was launched, further supporting and broadening the national Dutch citizen movement for Rights of Nature.
