Welcome to Moody Presents with Mark Jobe, President of Moody Bible Institute and Senior Pastor of New Life Community Church in Chicago. In the 1960’s some said that eventually traditional religion and Jesus would become irrelevant and possibly eradicated all together. Well, nothing could be further from reality here, well into in the 21st century. “Spirituality” has never been more popular. But Pastor Mark points out that while “spirituality” is on the rise there is an equal decrease in a knowledge of the real Truth. We’re in a study of 2nd Timothy today in part 2 of the message, Be Prepared for the Last Days. Our radio series is titled, Tenacious—living a faith that outlives you. You can also listen online at Moody Presents dot ORG. WELCOME to Moody Presents with Mark Jobe, President of Moody Bible Institute and Senior Pastor of New Life COMMUNITY Church in Chicago . . . Well, words are important. No one knows that better than those of us in radio! …They are also very important to pastors! They can either communicate great things that enrich other’s lives or they can leave a path of destruction. No matter how you look at it, there’s great power in our words. The Apostle Paul knew this too and was very direct in his council to Timothy in his ministry to beware of false teachers and godless chatter. We pick up the message at this important point today on Moody Presents. Mark continues his study in the book of 2nd Timothy today with a message titled, The Life Changing Power of Your Words.   Under couch cushions and in the corners of storage closets everywhere in America you’ll find little wooden squares with letters on them. Of course, I’m referring to the pieces belonging to the board game… Scrabble. And since we’re talking about words on the broadcast today, I thought we’d point out some interested facts about one of the most popular board games in history.  It was invented in 1931 and today the game is sold in 121 countries and 31 languages.  The power of words!  Let’s join Pastor Mark.Become part of our Advance Team: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/moodypresents/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In all of the Bible, in all of life and our faith, there is nothing more important than who Jesus is and what He’s done for us. We can get so easily distracted and pulled away, confused. We need to take the time to remember Jesus and that our story is just a small part of God’s greater story of redemption.  Get your Bibles ready to 2 Timothy 2 for today's Moody Presents with Mark Jobe.Become part of our Advance Team: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/moodypresents/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We’re in a series currently titled, Tenacious—living a faith that outlives you. Today a new message he is calling, The Strength of Grace. God’s grace can be mis-understood ... some view it as just a warm blanket that shields us, but it actually strengthens us in a number of ways to live boldly in our faith.  If you can have your Bible open and ready to 2 Timothy chapter 2.Become part of our Advance Team: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/moodypresents/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On Moody Presents with Mark Jobe, the president of Moody Bible Institute. We’re learning what it means to be Tenacious… in our continuing series by staying firm in your position, by being strong and courageous in your faith. Let’s join Pastor Mark as he explains more about this power that strengthens us to live for Him… on Moody Presents.Become part of our Advance Team: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/moodypresents/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
As believers, living out your faith means you’ll come up against resistance. It will be hard. There will be those who do not agree and even ridicule you for it. In our scripture passage today, Paul is challenging Timothy in much the same way, telling him to expect trouble, prepare, man up and get ready to take a punch. It's about the confidence of moving forward in Christ.  Let's listen and grow!Become part of our Advance Team: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/moodypresents/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
