Lately I’ve been speaking with a lot of people who are either quite new on the self growth journey OR are constantly looking for ways to do better for themselves. I have been on my self discovery journey for I’d say around 3 years now and there are somethings I originally thought would “improve” or “get better” which I’ve now learned are just a part of the self growth journey.I think it’s a really useful discussion to flag these things especially for those of you navigating this for the first time and really feeling quite alone. If you’ve been loving this content and want to keep seeing it, let us know by dropping a review or rating wherever you’re listening it would mean the world to me and helps us continue to grow the show!Until next time,Stay BalancedP.S. This is the literal dilemma I had that prompted me to start this podcast... that is, thriving in busyness and loving being busy, but also feeling guilty for it. So I sat down and reframed what being busy meant, how it made me feel and how to ensure I didn't get swept up in the "busyness" to a point where I neglected my wellness, my wellbeing. And today, I take you exactly through the process I undertook to arrive in a place where I feel confident defending my time & forgetting feeling guilty for how I'm spending it.At times we need to go deeper in our health, or our work, and we don't need to feel guilty or let others make us feel guilty for it. So get ready to OWN it! Today I am joined by Marlo Grover, the founder of G Pump and woman on a mission to spread joyful vibes into our exercise regimes! Among some of the incredible topics we dive into today, my favourites include why exercise shouldn't be a chore and how to fix a 'meh' relationship with it, how to enjoy the process and take the pressure of the results, and importantly why something doesn't have to be hard for it to be effective. We also chat about the meaning of self care everyday, rather than using it as a go-to when sh*t hits the fan. Another personal fav of both of ours is using Disney movies as a self care activity but you'll need to tune in to hear our favourites! You can connect with Marlo more on LinkedIn, TikTok or Instagram @marlowalkergrover or @g.pump_fitBe sure to send across this episode to someone who you think will enjoy it too! Until next time, Stay Balanced P.S. Today I share a replay of a very early episode that I have recently listened back to to help me reframe my feelings with failure. In this episode, I share my thoughts on "beginnings" and their close but common link to "failing". I think the fear of failing, and the emotions associated with 'new beginnings' often prevent people from getting started A LOT more than they should. I share some insights into how we can reframe our understanding and connection to these feelings, and kick beginnings in the butt! Share this ep with someone who will love it + if you're loving the content, take a moment and leave us a review/rating on Apple or Spotify!Until next time,Stay BalancedP.S. Today I want to chat about something I have recently felt which initially, felt extremely alien and foreign to me, and that is the feeling of being lost. At first, these feelings were uncomfortable for me. I resisted them and felt like I should have my sh*t sorted, but this resistance only pushed me further into the view that this feeling of being lost was bad and I needed a way out ASAP. As time has gone on and as I’ve sat with all the feels that come from this lostness, I am starting to view this as more of a reset or pivot in my life. So, today you’re going to hear 3 reasons why feeling lost is not a bad place to be and how it can truly be a special and eye opening moment in your life. Share this ep with someone who will love it + if you're loving the content, take a moment and leave us a review/rating on Apple or Spotify!EPISODE LINK - "How to make more time for the things you love" episodeUntil next time,Stay BalancedP.S. Negative feedback is something we’re all familiar with - whether it be in a professional capacity or via a personal relationship. If you're anything like me and feel like you're a bit of a perfectionist, then you're probably not foreign to the idea of having expectations on yourself across multiple areas of your life (especially work/career ones)! Today I want to chat about where these come from and explore when they can be good, and motivate us, but also when they can be bad and steer us away from what we genuinely want.I'll also dive deep into how to work out what success means to you so that you can make sure your expectations are aligned to what you value.Share this ep with someone who will love it + if you're loving the content, take a moment and leave us a review/rating on Apple or Spotify!Until next time,Stay BalancedP.S. Today I want to use this BTS to dive into the relationship category of balance, which is not one I’ve jumped into much on a solo episode before. When we have ties or relationships that are ‘toxic’ or have an element where something just feels off about them, they can really impinge on our balance, and critically, the way we show up as ourselves. So, in todays’ episode you’re going to hear my thoughts on how to choose relationships that are best for you, which ones to avoid to protect your balance and when you might be blocking yourself from the right people! To help you take action on these principles, you'll find some journal or meditation prompts below - use them however you like to work through the takeaways from today's ep - enjoy!JOURNAL PROMPTS:What value do I want from a relationship/friendship with ______? *Can also be done as a hypothetical if you’re looking for new friends or a new partner i.e. What value do I want from a friendship? What have some past relationships taught be about what I DO NOT want in a relationship/friendship? What values can I see I hold as a result of these? Are my current relationships/friendships allowing me to be my most authentic self?If there are some that are not, why am I holding on to them? Is there other value that can justify my time/energy being involved in this relationship? Can I identify any limiting beliefs I hold about what I deserve or am worthy of that could be influencing my decision to maintain these ‘toxic’ relationships? If yes, can I rewrite them to attract what I do deserve in my life?Share this ep with someone who will love it + if you're loving the content, take a moment and leave us a review/rating on Apple or Spotify!Until next time,Stay BalancedP.S.
