Y’all, Jessica is the coolest. Not only is she in the know for the coming fashion trends (newsflash, RED), she is a firecracker for Jesus and lives her life radically and authentically for Him. She’s a pastor at a local evangelical protestant church who has a beautiful story of how God made beauty from the ashes of her life. Once she met the lover of her soul there was no turning back. Though she does not share the same Catholic faith as us, she shares the same deep love for the Lord and we all can learn so much from our Protestant brothers and sisters! Hey there Beloveds! This week will look a little different on the His Beloved Podcast. We put on a retreat a couple of weeks ago about intimacy with God and we felt like you might like to hear those talks. This week is Megan's talk called "Who is He To You?" Megan dives into intimacy with Jesus and who He is to her. We spend a lot of time talking about our identity in Christ. Who are we to Him? For this talk we focus on His identity. Who is He to us? He will be different to everyone. He is the Lion and the Lamb, fierce and gentle, healer, lover, etc. the list could go on and on. We invite you to think about who you see Jesus as. Is He close to your heart? Draw near with Him as you listen to this episode. At the end there is a prayer experience. You can hit pause and join us in that prayer or come back to it later when you have time. Megan accidentally called the prayer the Emmaus prayer, but it actually the Immanuel prayer. Haley Riney is back!!! If you have listened to last week's episode check that one out first. At the end of the part one episode with Haley we just knew we had to get her in the studio again.  So. Many. Thoughts.  The Lord parted the seas and we were able to connect with her while she was “on location for Jesus”.  The three of us came into this episode completely empty handed and asked Holy Spirit for direction, and as usual, Holy Spirit rocked it.  Haley shared more of her healing journey after her divorce and the powerful (yet brave) prayer that started it all.  We dive deep into healing and how the Lord desires freedom for all of us. We could have kept recording for another hour but all good things must come to an end….in this case because Tessa needed her lunch.  Oh, y’all, Haley is a gift and a flame of honesty, inspiration, truth, knowledge, and freedom and we are so blessed to call her kingdom family.  Stay tuned for an episode 3 to come with Haley. Sometimes when we’re recording, the content feels like it was specifically for our hearts to hear, and that’s exactly what happened with this episode with Haley Riney.  If you only knew how many notes I took while we were recording!   Haley and Kendra met at the Encounter conference in December of 2023 and immediately she thought two things….1) She is my people! 2) Megan will love her! Today we have  the incredible Paul J Kim with us on the podcast. Paul is a world renowned Catholic speaker, beat boxer, rapper, and comedian. He happens to be a good friend of ours and lives near us. Megan recently went on a pilgrimage with Paul to Mexico City to visit the miraculous tilma with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In this conversation Paul shares with us his conversion story, a little about his time as a postulant with the Franciscan CFRs, and how Our Lady of Guadalupe has guided him to her son throughout his life. We had a blast this week on our trip to Dallas. We had the great opportunity to hang out in "The Cottage" with Ali Hoffman and Katie Smith. Katie was a teen in Chris' youth ministry before Kendra and Chris started dating. She is now a youth minister in Dallas. Ali was also a youth minister and now runs an art and design company called Oodles of Doodles where she makes custom hand lettering. She was also internet famous when a video of her dancing in the kitchen with her dad went viral. She is full of life and oh so funny. Both of these ladies were former Net Missionaries and are beautiful women living out the faith in their entire lives. It was a gift to spend time with them and stay in their home. Today while Kendra is off chaperoning a trip of 9th grade girls in the dessert of Utah we are sharing an oldie, but a goody.
