Charlie is joined by high-priced recruit Adam Spencer to look back at all the Opening Round action. We ask the big question, like is Charlie Curnow the Jack Harlow of Sydney? Will Clayton Oliver be the first Giant to actually live in Western Sydney? Are Gold Coast going to have to rename their legendary nightclub Tracks to Trac's? We also look at the best game of the year (so far) with the Dogs win over the Lions and Charlie urges Saints fans not to panic, but geez, maybe someone should have tagged Daicos. Sonia Di Iorio likes to take the unconventional route when it comes to comedy. Her latest standup show, Battute Per Peccatori, is performed entirely in Italian...because why not? It's a hilarious exploration of heritage, identity, and the absurdity of everyday life. From growing up in Traralgon to trying her hand at comedy at 24 years old, Sonia is now one of the best in Melbourne's comedy scene. In this insightful chat, Wil and Sonia talk chronic pain, creativity and doing things differently. 👍 Thanks.
this is a really great episode - I learnt so much about Lewis Hobba and really enjoyed the thoughtful, meaningful philosophies throughout. thank you so much!
does Zonfrillo HAVE to say FUCK every 20 seconds? he doesn't do it on Master Chef, & it is so damn annoying I nearly shut it, & as a chef I can say we know the hours and the terms of the job joke has decided to pursue a certain side of the industry that by it's very nature is highly demanding if you want to play in that sandpit go play in it, but Zonfrillo knows there are other choices, & re TV it's not his job to worry about the production and believe you me mate nobody is waiting for you to f**k up, nobody .... you need a new prospective
Absolutely amazing. Two incredibly intelligent people. No joke.... the best interview I've ever listened to. Thank you Will and Jimmy. As for ling form... I'd LOVE Jimmy to do some material like Jim Jefferies.... tell stories. Jimmy pretty much did that in this interview, in places (e.g. Religion). Look forward to seeing you both on tour. Gary Storm... Perth.
Fun and wide-ranging chat. Thank you.
extra good - thanks
Matey potatey
Woah!! truly enjoyed this one.. (massive call but this could be the best one yet!) got so much from both you. So good to hear about the man behind the poddie, credit to Chris Walker for making this happen. I think it deserves another listen and a donation
I don't listen to much Wilosophy but I came across this one and had so much nostalgia listening to Wil and Adam, reminded me of being in grade 11 and 12 listening to jjj mornings. A great interview and very entertaining ❤️
38:30 - Yes, Jen Kirkman. 🙌
great episode!!
Amazing guest!
One of this best!
awesome podcast and great interviewer. Big fan of the Rusciano chats and glad to know I'm not alone with the loud chewing. Apparently it's a thing 🤷♂️
Love you will - but quit the long intros!
🤦🏼♀️I really thought I was the only person who can't say their own name 😂
Yep the 'bigger' guys don't feel threatened by you but can also see your worth. Similar experience as an engineer. The more competent guys don't feel threatened by you because they are comfortable in their abilities and can see your worth so treat you as an equal. Unfortunately there aren't many of them. The shit guys outweigh the good ones by a long way.
I listen to a myriad of podcasts always trying to have an open mind and hear what others have to say but at the end of the day what comforts me most are the voices of Australians and though we may agree or disagree we are Australians, we're trying to figure it out in the best way we can
a wonderfully eloquent, thoughtful and thought provoking discussion.
This was life changing for me. Normally I go from one podcast to another, but I had to take time to really digest this. I remember a lecture at uni that described the way that 2% of the population think about issues, upstream thinking - both of you are in this 2%.
