Bev Cromwell is retired and living in Albuquerque, NM. She still loves to travel and trying new things - even if they don't work out very well. ◈◆◈◆◈◆◈◆◈ How do we shape and tell stories? Using the Story Club model, this production will showcase non-fiction stories, written and performed by CNM students. Students will workshop their own chosen, personal stories and develop that into a 1300 word, 8 minute podcast performance piece. I want students to explore themes and arguments of their choosing; some will be prolific in human nature; others lighthearted and comedic in delivery; all will have a singular goal: to share a truthful human experience and to better understand ourselves and others; and of course to have fun in the process. ◈◆◈◆◈◆◈◆◈ Directed by Lori Uebelhart Stage Manger: Hannah Miles Producer: E. Dani Belvin Audio Engineer: Dan Dave Larson Theme Music by Dan Dave Larson Story Club CNM was created with support and guidance from Dana Norris, founder of Story Club ◈◆◈◆◈◆◈◆◈ To find out more about Story Club visit storyclubchicago.com For more infomation about the CAT and the CNM Theatre Department visit cnm.edu/cat You can access past podcast performances by the CNM Theatre Department by checking out the CAT Lab Presents Podcast at catlab.pinecast.co or wherever you get your podcasts Find out more at https://catlab.pinecast.co
Dan Dave Larson is a musical artist, audio engineer, and billboard charting music producer. As a student at CNM, Dan Dave has chosen to pursue the theatrical arts to expand his repertoire, gain acting abilities, and adapt a new repertoire of performance art skills. Growing up during his early formative years in the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque area, Mr. Larson moved around the USA as a result of military service and personal adventure, only having returned after a sixteen year absence in 2021. Known in his music scene formerly as ‘Elay Arson’, Dan Dave Larson continues his music and creative ventures under his own full name. ◈◆◈◆◈◆◈◆◈ How do we shape and tell stories? If you want a happy story, where no one gets hurt, everyone laughs, and the main character gets the girl, this isn't the story you want. There is death, there is loss, and there is trauma. If these trigger you, turn around now. You will cry. You've been warned. This isn't for your entertainment, it's a message to someone I care about, very much. ◈◆◈◆◈◆◈◆◈ How do we shape and tell stories?
