To achieve what we want to with the Partnership Plan, we must be lean, simple and fast, creating more pace and freedom for Partners and more cash for growth. To earn the right to transform, our focus for the next 2 years must be on achieving higher levels of profit - we’re targeting £200m profit by 2022 - as well as tackling key pain points for customers. Progress will only be possible if we save £300m per year by 2022. In this episode we hear from Nikki Humphrey, Executive Director of People, and Claire Young, Head of Operating Model Design, on the work they've been doing on transforming our Head Office.
The Partnership Plan is bold and ambitious - but it’s clear that we won’t be able to achieve our ambitions alone and therefore we will need to create partnerships to help us grow. Forging partnerships can help bring capabilities that we don’t have, but that our customers want, and also allows us to experiment and engage in new areas. The Partnership has a long history in doing this, through financial services with HSBC, convenience stores with Shell or online delivery with Ocado. In this episode, we hear from Sean Allam our Director of Services and Ali Berryman, Mission Lead, Financial Services, about the work we're doing in Financial Services, why it's an important area of growth for us in the Partnership and the kind of services our customers and Partners can expect to see.
If you're a keen gardener with talented green fingers or you're not green fingered at all but you just love being outdoors in the sunshine on a summer's day (remember those long summer days?!), then this episode is for you. In this podcast Bethany Nicholls, Commercial Buying Administrator, chats to Helen West, Strategy Lead, about our customers' passion for outdoor living, how we plan on making outdoor living a bigger part of our business and how the pandemic has changed the way we all use our outdoor space.
Ever sat down for dinner and wondered how someone came up with the idea for what you’re eating? Well, if you have then this week’s Partnership Podcast will be of interest to you. In this week’s episode we’re looking again at the Retail Customers Love aspect of the Partnership Plan but with a focus on Innovation and Quality in Waitrose. Natalie Mitchell, Director of Technical, Quality, Innovation & Supplier Management, and Martyn Lee, Manager, Product Innovation & Executive Chef, talk to us about all of the work they’re doing to bring this aspect of the Plan to life for our customers and Partners. We also hear from James Bailey, Executive Director, Waitrose sharing the plan and his vision for Waitrose.
To better understand the Driven By Purpose aspect of the Partnership Plan, this week we’re looking at how we’re working to improve our local communities through our Give A Little Love Campaign.
In the second episode of this series, we learn more about the Retail Customers Love aspect of our Partnership Plan.  Camilla, Pip and Hannah from the John Lewis Home Leadership Team talk to us about the work they're doing to make sure we're the number one destination for Home for our customers, they tell us who they think we should be following on Instagram for the latest trends and inspiration and what we're all buying for our homes in lockdown.
In the first episode of this series Sharon shares the narrative of the Partnership Plan with all Partners. Explaining why we need to change, what we’re changing and what every Partner can do to play their part in making it a success. Our host Monikah shares what she’s been doing to play her part.
